I stayed here with my partner for a short break, we were astounded as we arrived by the view of the outside of the hotel.
The staff were absolutely lovely and there was always somebody around to help. Especially the bar staff who answered our stupid English questions!
The room was amazing! We stayed in an executive room, definitely recommended, you can see so far from the circular windows. The shower is probably the reason I chose this hotel and was not disappointed, I would reccomend to couples.
It is located close to the metro so you can easily go into the centre but you’re far away enough to be away from the hustle and bustle which is what we wanted.
Stayed at the fletcher hotel for my birthday in October, gorgeous hotel! when we arrived we were given a complimentary drink each at the sky lounge bar. The bar is lovely, staff were great and lovely views. The room was beautiful nice and big! The shower was Fab, did flood the room because it wasn't draining well but nothing a few towels didn't mop up! Our room was made up every day with clean towels and toilet roll. The hotel is only a short walk to the train station for trips into the central. There is not much around but a kfc, Burger King and Chinese restaurant.
Overall lovely stay and such a stunning hotel, would definitely recommend! Will be returning!
The Fletcher Amsterdam is in a convenient location based on our office location. Front desk service was pretty slow and the restaurant service was extremely slow. I’ll probably look for a different location for my next trip to Amsterdam.
I stay in an Amsterdam hotel every week - and have done for one year. This was my first visit to the Fletcher Hotel. It's a really distinctive building from the outside - clean and functional from the inside. That said - if you eat in the hotels own restaurant - you can't add that bill to your room bill. They want it to be settled separately.
The staff at the reception is great and so where to waiters at the restaurant and the bar.. but it stops there with the good feedback.
My room (like all rooms) have a shower in the middle of the room. In that shower there is NO way of putting down anything other that on the floor. You get these small containers with shampoo and shower gel you have to stick somewhere when under the shower (*be creative here*) the area where the sink is, is cramped into a corner and is just way too small. Form over Function. Also the room has seen better days. Stains on the carpet and walls are just disgusting (Room 1204 for reference)
The beds are just horrible.. way too soft.. the matras and top layer slide like nuts. four nights here were not comfortable at all. The pillows are also old as anything, no support and just bad.. it gave me a stiff neck!
During my four night stay, twice the room was not made up.. no towels.. no amenities.. nothing. When you say something at the reception you get the feeling you are not the first one complaining and the room is still not cleaned as this is in the evening so tough cookie. They do offer you a drink at the bar and they drop by some towels at least.
The dinner was ok.. I cannot say anything bad about that from a taste perspective it was ok. Maybe the portion was very small and the meat could have been better with seasoning, but it was indeed something that tasted as expected from a decent hotel. I only ate here once though, as EUR 50+ for a drink a starter and a meal was just a bit too much and gets you better in town.
But what ruined it for me, is that I parked my car on their secure and paid parking terrain in front on the hotel. And to my horror.. the window was smashed. There were no valuables in my car other than some sunglasses. The lady at the reception was really helpful, but from her response I could tell this was not the first time and she said it happened two weeks prior as well and that it sometimes happens. Well, why not have cameras here please? This is really bad.. to charge for parking but not take responsibility.
All in all a BAD experience which was a costly one on top and obviously I will refrain staying at any Fletcher hotel in the future.
