Ibis Styles Amsterdam Central Station garners acclaim for its exceptional service, with staff members frequently praised for their helpfulness and efficiency. Guests rave about the hotel's prime location, conveniently nestled close to Central station and major attractions, although noise can sometimes be an issue. While the hotel's rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and comfort, they are noted to be on the smaller side and offer varying degrees of natural light. Travelers enjoy the modern atmosphere and cozy bar area, yet opinions on value vary, with some guests considering it overpriced.

I was there for three nights and I really enjoyed my stay. The location is great, it’s just 2 minutes from the station (connected to the airport and many nearby day trips) and you can easily walk to all the main attractions in Amsterdam. I never took public transports when I was there. Plus, there’s plenty of restaurants, shops and supermarkets in the area. The rooms are comfortable, classic ibis style. Because of the Coronavirus they organized packed breakfast that you could have in your room and, even if i couldn’t choose what to have, they gave me plenty of sweet and savory options, fruit, yoghurt and drinks. Overall, good value for money.

Location: 10/10

Service: 7/10 was only staying for one night so only had contact with the front desk, in which they got things done, but could have been a bit friendlier. Didn't explain about the hotel service, and whether my booking included breakfast etc.

Room: 6/10 Room was 2 single beds. One light wasn't working on the right side of the single bed. Room had kettle, basic coffee/tea. Cups for the drink (and for your toothbrush) was paper cups.
I liked the fact that the room had both a portable fan and heater (but this could be due to the room temp system not being on as the screen wasn't on.
The only bad thing about the room was that in the en suite, the toilet was on the right side, sink in the middle and shower on the left. The space to to 'enter' the toilet was very tiny as the sink took up most of the way. As a small person I couldn't even 'walk straight' to it and needed to turn sideways
Price: Was about 110 EUR for the night which is a very good price considering amsterdam prices

Stayed at IBIS Central on three separate occasions May - June 2019. On two stays, was allocated a small but clean and sufficient room for our needs. On the other stay was provided with a much larger suite, this also tidy, need and more than sufficient to our needs.
On 2 of 3 stays was greeted with welcoming smile. Our other stay we were met by an 'aggressive' young woman who knew everything and not prepared to listen to our answers to her questions. After sometime she settled down and became pleasant to deal with.
Basic dining facilities. Breakfast was good and help yourself with unlimited tea/coffee. Dinner was basic, not a large number of options to choose from, but again more than sufficient for us. On one occasion, the cook was unwell, and not at work - only option that night was pizza, or find another restaurant to eat at,
Restaurant staff very welcoming, pleasant and helpful.

This is the ideal hotel for a short break in Amsterdam with friends. The staff were extremely friendly, even accommodating an early check-in with no fuss, the rooms are clean and functional and the continental breakfast is great added value.

If you're looking for a centrally located hotel in Amsterdam that's good value for money, this is a great option. The reception staff even offered a drinks token for a free drink in the downstairs restaurant which was a lovely touch.

I've only pleasant things to say about this hotel and will certainly stay again if I'm in Amsterdam.

I booked this hotel as a base for a two night business trip to Amsterdam. The hotel is perfectly located within a five minutes walk from Centraal Station and a mere ten minute walk into most tourist hotspots.
The welcome on check in was warm and friendly and I was allocated a double room on the second floor overlooking the main road.
The room was one of the larger doubles and was adequately appointed with two sockets and two cabinets a large TV a with some UK channels and a large shower.
The room was clean and well heated.
Breakfast was a calm affair which makes a pleasant change from larger hotels, again the staff were warm and welcoming.
Checkout was efficiently executed and all in all I would not hesitate to book to stay here again on my next trip

My partner and I visited this hotel based on online reviews, with our main focus being on location and cleanliness. We booked a 'double standard room', but were not allocated the room advertised/paid for but rather, we were given the 'small double room'. Furthermore, the room was not clean - we found hairs all over the bed linen, in the towels and the portable heater was full of dust bunnies. The lights were flickering, and in a room for two people, there was only one plug. Upon complaining, the receptionist said we would be allocated a bigger and better room the following day, however the situation of Day 2 was repeated, as we were allocated the exact same room but on a higher floor with the same cleanliness issues. We complained further, with the receptionist telling us that a significantly larger room was not going to be available till Day 3, which we could move into. When Day 3 arrived, we went to get the third room which was in fact significantly larger, however this was not without Management arrogantly insisting that what we had initially been given was in fact a standard room (completely contrasting the photos online and the third room we were given). This was slightly better in terms of cleanliness, though hairs were still everywhere. The only good things about this hotel were the location, which is in fact very central and the breakfast selection and breakfast staff.

Located in the heart of Amsterdam and within a couple of minutes walk to the train station this is the ideal place to stay. Rooms are "bijou" but cleaned daily to a high standard, the bed is really comfortable and large (queen size). We were on the 2nd floor facing out towards the station (see photo), the road was quite noisy at night especially with late night revellers returning in the early hours (we did keep both windows open though). Overall the hotel is probably no more expensive that other major European cities and should I return to Amsterdam I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I stayed here for 3 nights in early June and had such a great experience.

The first thing to mention are the staff who work here. Not only were they so friendly and helpful but they went out of their way to help me with little things here and there and it was always greatly appreciated.

I was initially given a top floor double room but it had such a small window and was quite dark and small that I asked if there was anything else available. The wonderful Nezi went above and beyond and in fact gave me a few room choices to view and I settled on a fantastic room on the 3rd floor.

The room was modern, bright, airy and clean and had the usual amenities including a safe, tea/coffee and complimentary sweets too.

I found the bed extremely comfortable and the pillows were divine, as they had soft and firm ones available to choose from. I usually struggle to find soft pillows in hotels and so was really impressed with the options. The bedding was lovely too.

I had a view overlooking Centraal Station and I loved it - especially as the sun went down. The only downside to this were the trams that ran in front of the hotel from roughly 7am to midnight constantly ringing their bells and rumbling as they went past. The closed windows didn’t filter the noise out unfortunately but as I always travel with earplugs, it didn’t stop me from sleeping and I already knew of what to expect when I chose this location.

The shower was the only huge downside. It was a great shower, with different pressures and options but whoever designed the bathroom put it the most ridiculous shower door with huge gaps all around. This meant that every morning the floor was drenched and I would use towels to soak up all the water. It didn’t really bother me, however I didn’t think it was fair on the cleaners who had to constantly deal with it - probably in every room too.

The cleaning in fact was something else that I noticed, as it was exceptional. On returning back to my room, everything looked brand new - and I don’t even make a mess. I was very impressed with them.

On my final morning, I decided to take breakfast which included the usual pastries, breads, jams and select hot foods plus hot drinks. It was fine for what it was and is always a good option to have in a hotel.

On checking out I was mistakingly not charged for breakfast and I explained that I had eaten it that morning but as a goodwill gesture, I was told it was complimentary. It was so unexpected and kind.

I would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed at Ibis Styles for a weekend away break. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The room was cosy and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is very small but it suited us. There were clean towels and the usual complimentary hand soap, shower gel and shampoo. If you are travelling and speak English, you can change the channels on the TV to English speaking language if you are lounging in the room for a short while. This hotel is in a great location as the Train Station if over the road, but far enough away that you cannot hear the trains. The Tram service is very reasonable and great if you want to travel further around Amsterdam. If you want to visit the Anne Frank Museum, tickets must be bought online and in plenty of time as Amsterdam is very busy, so don't be disappointed, book online.
There is so much to do and see in Amsterdam. My highlight was the Italian restaurants and the Bodyworks Museum, only visit if you are not squeamish. It is very interesting. My daughter got an amazing Tattoo to cement our first time in Amsterdam together. We had a Fab Time and can't wait to go back next year for St Patricks Day.

This was our 4th attempt to stay at this hotel having first booked for April 2020! The rescheduling was patiently sorted each time by Miranda. When we arrived (before check in time) we were delighted to find our room already prepared so we were able to leave our luggage and start sightseeing. Reception staff are all friendly and helpful. Breakfast is amazing for such a small hotel, excellent value. Everything is very clean and tidy. Yes the room is small but there’s enough storage space and shelving for th Ron not to look cluttered. As previous reviews have noted, the location is brilliant for local transport including airport link, also cafes and supermarkets are close by. Will definitely recommend to anyone wanting a short break in Amsterdam.
