Very simple hotel! Small room and small bathroom, but in good condition. The apt is new and renovated.
If you want to stay in Amsterdam with more “glamor” and pay a little more, there are other options in more upscale areas.
Try the wonderful Ambassade hotel!!! I was there before staying here. Exclusive service, breakfast from the gods and you only pay around 80 euros more per night.
Íbis is a practical hotel, but not worth the value for money.

The first thing to mention are the staff who work here. Not only were they so friendly and helpful but they went out of their way to help me with little things here and there and it was always greatly appreciated.
I was initially given a top floor double room but it had such a small window and was quite dark and small that I asked if there was anything else available. The wonderful Nezi went above and beyond and in fact gave me a few room choices to view and I settled on a fantastic room on the 3rd floor.
The room was modern, bright, airy and clean and had the usual amenities including a safe, tea/coffee and complimentary sweets too.
I found the bed extremely comfortable and the pillows were divine, as they had soft and firm ones available to choose from. I usually struggle to find soft pillows in hotels and so was really impressed with the options. The bedding was lovely too.
I had a view overlooking Centraal Station and I loved it - especially as the sun went down. The only downside to this were the trams that ran in front of the hotel from roughly 7am to midnight constantly ringing their bells and rumbling as they went past. The closed windows didn’t filter the noise out unfortunately but as I always travel with earplugs, it didn’t stop me from sleeping and I already knew of what to expect when I chose this location.
The shower was the only huge downside. It was a great shower, with different pressures and options but whoever designed the bathroom put it the most ridiculous shower door with huge gaps all around. This meant that every morning the floor was drenched and I would use towels to soak up all the water. It didn’t really bother me, however I didn’t think it was fair on the cleaners who had to constantly deal with it - probably in every room too.
The cleaning in fact was something else that I noticed, as it was exceptional. On returning back to my room, everything looked brand new - and I don’t even make a mess. I was very impressed with them.
On my final morning, I decided to take breakfast which included the usual pastries, breads, jams and select hot foods plus hot drinks. It was fine for what it was and is always a good option to have in a hotel.
On checking out I was mistakingly not charged for breakfast and I explained that I had eaten it that morning but as a goodwill gesture, I was told it was complimentary. It was so unexpected and kind.
I would highly recommend staying here.
We arrived and asked if they had any rooms available (very spontaneously) and we got a room at a very good price and not just any room, but simply the best room they have! ROOM 101 🤩 We love you and will definitely come back 👍

The welcome on check in was warm and friendly and I was allocated a double room on the second floor overlooking the main road.
The room was one of the larger doubles and was adequately appointed with two sockets and two cabinets a large TV a with some UK channels and a large shower.
The room was clean and well heated.
Breakfast was a calm affair which makes a pleasant change from larger hotels, again the staff were warm and welcoming.
Checkout was efficiently executed and all in all I would not hesitate to book to stay here again on my next trip
