Very helpful staff. Beautiful courtyard to sit in. Five minute walk to the Van Gogh gallery. Ten minute walk to the Rijk Museum. We took trams everywhere from corner 1-1/2 short blocks away. Bus 197 from airport drops 200m away(5€ each). Quiet, safe neighbourhood. Very comfortable bed. Our room had shower only.

the hotel is small with a worm atmosphere. we took a triple room. large and very clean. a very good location. very good and polite service. is worth the price.a small minus is that sometimes we heard the steps on the wooden roof above, yet insignificant. i would chose it again.

We were very disappointed in this hotel from the minute we walked through the door. Although the staff was very friendly and helpful the hotel itself was very run down and the rooms were outrageously small. The excuse the manager gave was that they were limited to any kind of restoration. Well it could definitely use a little TLC. My...

Good value hotel, clean, comfortable and great location on a tree lined avenue. Just five minutes from transport links, shops, park, canal and only a 20 minute canal walk to Ann Franks house. Reception staff were great. Nothing was too much trouble, from directions to booking restaurants to providing kettles etc. We had a very happy, relaxed stay.

Small hotel very close to Leidseplein square and trams stops, close to everywhere. We stay in triple room in basement, room big enough for short trip, good size bathroom, clean every day. Very good breakfast and I love dark bread made on site. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Good value for money. Would definitely go back.

We had a triple room. Very clean, warm and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Noise from outside from people returning from a night out could be a problem for light sleepers, especially at weekends, but no more than you would expect from a central hotel.

Lovely hotel - we were in a four-bed basement room (actually two rooms) with doors out to the garden. There was some noise from the breakfast room above our heads, but otherwise very peaceful. Hired bikes from the hotel, good value and very easy.

We stayed in this hotel from 2nd Jan till 4th of Jan this year. The hotel has a very good location near Vondel park and Leidsche plein and easy access to the tram stops. Hotel is clean, on a quite street and has friendly staff you do not need more as you will be mostly outside discover the city.

Hotel had a budget feel as soon as you entered. Reception staff could not be faulted, very friendly and helpful. A few stairs to get into the building, then there were more very steep stairs after we got out of lift on our floor. This may not bother a lot of people but we are the wrong side of 60...

Dear Sandm1975, Thank you for your objective review. Our hotel is located in a 200 year old renovated building so the vintage feels from the hotel are completely right. Unfortunately, since our building is considered as a heritage, we are not allowed to do big reconstruction of its base, therefore the lift is stopping only between the floors. We are...
