The location is great, in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to museums, shopping, transport and other attractions close to the heart of Amsterdam. The room was very comfortable with a great view of the canal and museums on the other side. All in all a wonderful choice for our last few nights in the Netherlands.

For affordability, hospitality and position this is the place to stay. Security is very good and room is comfortable, good size with a large fridge. Irene will assist you if required and we found her to be very knowledgeable and speaking very good English. One drawback is negotiating the narrow staircase up three flights carrying heavy suitcases, so be aware.

We really must thank Irene for a lovely stay. Staying at Between Art & Kitsch meant that we could stay almost next to the Rijksmuseum in a very trendy part of Amsterdam for 100 Euros per night. We were only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Amsterdam and the price included a well stocked kitchen to make your...

We had a lovely time at Irene's sweet little B&B. We loved the unusual room, the view of the canal from the window was pretty and it was ideal being able to "forage" in the kitchen area for breakfast and snacks. We had a fridge in our room too, which was really handy for all of the cheese and chocolate...

This Bed and Breakfast really made our Amsterdam holiday outstanding, and the owner, Irene, takes this perfect accommodation up another notch, if that's possible! It's self-catering, in a convenient location, absolutely spotless, and the kitchen is always well-stocked. We always felt energized after a good night's sleep and having the fantastic breakfast selections provided. The rooms are generous in size,...

I feel Between Art and Kitsch B&B made our trip to Amsterdam incredibly enjoyable and effortless. It was so nice to return "home" after a full day of sight-seeing in Amsterdam, and decompress. This is so much better than a hotel room because we could cook in the kitchenette and relax in the spacious and comfortable rooms. Irene took good...

The hostess of this B & B is as warm and charming as the city she is welcoming you to. The location is perfect; you are a 5 minutes stroll from the Rijk museum and trams to Central Station/Schiphol airport in one direction and a stroll in the other directions take you into many charming neighborhoods of the city you...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
