My Mom and I had a great time during out stay at the Collector. The location of the B&B worked out great. Its located in a more residential upscale neighborhood that is just around the corner from the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. It...More
My spouse and I stayed for 4 nights in October. Lovely spacious, spotless, comfortable room in the museum district, close to Vondelpark, on a Tram route, good walks all around. Easy, welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, very good, well stocked kitchen. Highly recommended.
We were very priveleged to stay at The Collector for 2 nights. Karel, our host, was very helpful, full of tips and information for our stay in Amsterdam. The location of the B&B was excellent, one tram line directly in front, another line a block...More

We booked The Collector based on the reviews and it lived up to all of the comments. If you want somewhere individual with character, relaxed and a friendly, helpful host then this is the right place. From the outside you wouldn't know it's a B&B,...More
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping
destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
