This was the best vacation we had in Europe, and we travel a lot! we came to celebrate 4 years together... This B&B is lovely, hommy and clean. The rooms are new (no old smelly brown furniture) - all in white and red and light wood. Facilities: We didn't mind taking off our shoes, this is excepted in many countries...

I had never really stayed at a B&B before, so I was a bit reluctant to stay at one. I am glad that I got proven wrong. If you want to be in the middle of the action of Amsterdam, this is not the place for you. If, however, you like a quiet neighbourhood to unwind & relax after a...

We liked this place and neighborhood and even long walk to/from city center. We spent 6 nights here with pleasure.

We fancied a few days away and a real change of scene in Amsterdam so I set about researching B&Bs online. I saw how many positive comments Paul and Karen had on here, and looked at the photos on their site, but it was only really whe we arrived that we realised how well we had chosen. The location is...

We stayed at Karen & Paul's home for 4 nights and November. We had the suite, which was basically a full apartment just for us with a private deck in the back and a canal view in front. They were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, providing us with breakfast food, tea, coffee, even welcoming glasses of Champagne the first night we...

the room is so comfy, warm in the nasty winter weather in December.. Paul & Karen are so warm hearted people and makes the stay more enjoyable. Especially with flexibility when it comes to unplanned-extended stay. The kitchen is accessible and could cater your homesickness by making your own omelette.

returned from staying at the Tulips. Hotel was in a peacfull area. You could walk through the park to one of the shopping areas or take the local tram which come every 10 mins. Amsterdam is expensive becaused of the euro £5.00 for one pint of lager £7.00 for a vodka and coke but besides the price we had an...

This B&B is better for a serene extended stay than for a weekend dash through the sites of the city. is located at the foot of Amsterdam's kilometer-long city park, so it is a bit overpriced considering it is a 25-minute tram ride from the main train station. We first read about this site in Rick Steve's guidebook. Paul, the...

We loved our stay at Tulips in April 2009 so much that it will always be our home away from home in Amsterdam. The rooms are delightful--airy, light, clean, and comfortable, beautifully situated on the Schinkel Canal. It's quiet because it's just outside the city center but it's convenient--the Vondelpark is a five-minute walk away, just across the canal, and...

This place was lovely. It rained quite a bit while we werre in Amsterdam, and it was nice to have such a comfortable place to keep dry. We had a double room with a shared bathroom for three nights on the ground floor facing the canal. When we arrived, Paul gave us a map of the local area, which is...
