I stayed at the hotel whilst on a business trip. I was a little bit concerned after reading the reviews but thought I would give it ago. The building you check into (1 min walk from the place you stay) is not nice. It is dark and has a bit of a smell. The rooms were nice but basic, but...

Possibly the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Nothing was clean, rats found in the wardrobe, worst employees I have ever met. Manager does not deserve to work in this industry by the way she treats her guests

This hotel was the cheapest we could find (£70) and the pictures on Booking.com looked pretty decent so we went for it. Thank god we were only there for one night because it was awful. The room was literally just a bed and TV, no mirrors or bedside/desk or tea making facilities. The bathroom was tiny with no room to...

Stayed there for a night. Got a 6 twin/bunk bed room, since there were 3 of us. Room was large, bathroom was very clean. No tub. Carpet had some musty smell and rooms weren't sound proof. However, was very centrally located. Close to Heiniken brewery; close to Hop On Hop Off bus/boat stop. Very accessible to Central station via tram....

I'm not normally one to moan about hotel rooms as I don't normally care cause I'm hardly ever in it! But Iv never felt so unclean staying in such a place! The halls stunk as soon as you walked in! We were on the top floor of a 5 floor building that had no lift! I would hardly call the...

Travelled as a couple to Amsterdam for a weekend. Booked at short notice and this hotel was the only one available. We can see why as this place was disgusting. As other people have mentioned, we had to wait until 3pm after arriving early in the morning - hauling a large and heavy suitcase around the area. When we eventually...

We were meant to be staying for 2 nights booked through booking.com. I informed the desk we would be arriving in the early hours after a 20 hour flight from Sri Lanka and would need somewhere to rest or at least keep our belongings. On arrival the man at the check ou t was impossibly rude, he said 2 wouldn't...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
