After numerous times I've been to Amsterdam for work and stayed at hotels (including the best ones !) I've decided to try the B&B option we always prefer with family vacations... one definite conclusion ? I really regret not doing that before !... Amsterdam is not a big city, choosing the right location would allow you to explore the city...

I stayed with my family in the suite...it was great!!! The room was very spacious and luxurious, with all amenities you need: fridge, toaster, coffee maker, megatron and much more. The breakfast was very delicious, with many types of fresh bread, croissant, cakes, fruit, milk, orange juice, ham, cheese, ecc ...every morning a different breakfast!!!! There was free wifi in...

You'll find this a great location to explore Amsterdam. It is centrally located and we walked everywhere. I think this is the best way to get a feel for the city. We were there for 4 nights and appreciated that we could get and go and not try to figure out which bus to get on. We were in the...

It was our 6th trip to Amsterdam and before we always stayed in the hotels. This time my husband insisted and we stayed in B&B. He found it and we are really happy with the choice. We were 2 married couples visiting Amsterdam for NY 2016. Rudy and Pia have got two rooms for rent and we took them both...

Such a wonderful stay. The room was stunning; spacious, luxurious and so relaxing. Location is great - no more than a 20 minute walk to anywhere we wanted to go and practically right on the Dam Square. Every morning you get a fresh delivery of bakery goods (bread, croissants, cakes, apples, grapes etc). And every morning is a different, thoughtful...

We stayed at Palace B&B for 5 nights (Sep 27- Oct 2). Rudy & Pia were the perfect hosts. The suite was spacious, clean, and quiet. Breakfast included fresh bread, buns, and fruit and the room was supplied with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The location is very convenient, about 5 minute walk to Dam Square. The only caution is...

Our accommodation provided exactly what we needed. A lovely spacious living area, great king size bed and a really good breakfast to set you up for the day. The location is perfect to see all the beautiful sights of Amsterdam as well as the abundance of restaurants and museums.

Excellent central location , with helpful and friendly hosts. Everything is clean and works, and the breakfast is great with fresh fruit and warm bread delivered to the room , and decent coffee and machine. Rudy is honest on the web site, the stairs are very steep , so small cases are advisable, unlike us who took a very large...

Just back from a fabulous stay here! This is basically a flat in a very central location (not far from Dam Square) and you get the whole apartment to yourself. My sister and I stayed and we were amazed by how much room we had! There was a king sized bed, and a large living/dining area. The apartment was cleaned...

I stayed in Amsterdam for three nights and had the pleasure of staying at Palace B&B. The location was great - close to the flower market, the canals, etc. Everything was pretty much within walking distance. Rudy and Pia were also great hosts. They were very welcoming and would go out of their way to make our stay as pleasant...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
