The staff are amazing, the location is great, there's gym, breakfast options, the hotel is clean, warm and cozy. The train is near by, and busses and the metro. Supermarket near. The room had refrigerator and amazing shower.
Very good hotel, we had a room on 7th floor with amazing few over the city, specially at the night time. Big king bed, big bathroom with walking shower. In the room was slippers, Ironing facilities, kettle, coffee machine. We do not have a breakfast. Very good location just 10 min by train to city centre. We do not use any bus or metro, in 2 days we walk around all city centre and visit all attractions.
Lovely hotel, excellent location, just next to the train station which will get you into Amsterdam in under 10 minutes, also metro station for the cheaper option, lots of shops around it, great rooms, clean, nice shower, friendly staff and a lovely stay, I will be returning, very happy guest
Due to a delay in the US to take a flight to Paris we decided to change destination and go to Amsterdam because had direct flight. Arrived in Amsterdam without hotel reservation, found Mercure and was impressed from the moment we got on the train from the airport (11minutes) then just 3 minute walk to the hotel. Checked-in early and was assigned a room. We really appreciated that. Front desk Leo was very friendly. Our room was super clean, great beds, great shower. Housekeeping did a great job every day. Our stay there was memorable and I would recommend this Hotel. Easy access to the city center (6minutes). And very well priced.
The Mercure is clearly a hotel for people travelling on business, predominantly men. The staff is friendly, the rooms are equipped with the usual (hair dryer, iron and ironing board). Regarding cleanliness, it leaves quite a bit to be desired. I found everything quite dusty, the toilet had pee stains in several places. My room was very dark (the carpet, the walls, lighting), I would have preferred it a bit more "friendly". The bed was alright, so was the shower. The view from the upper floors is quite stunning. Breakfast was amazing and literally everything I could think of was available. Also great location.
Ok I use this Mercure hotel a lot because of work trips from UK to Amsterdam. It's Sloterdijk location makes it convenient to the office and also to Schiphol. But more than that, the staff are just super. Always helpful and professional. The rooms are just what you want for working or relaxing (although some USB sockets would be good on the next upgrade). I now use it also for personal trips to Amsterdam as well. It is just so much better value than what you get in central Amsterdam. And if you know your OV chipkaarts or don't mind experimenting with the public transport, you will either know or find that getting in and around Amsterdam is no problem.
This is a great hotel convenient to getting into and out of Amsterdam. If you need to save a little money, you can stay here and the trains — which go all the time— have you to Amsterdam Centraal in 5 minutes, or you can take the tramway or metro into town, depending on what section of Amsterdam you're headed to (for the museums, for instance, a combo of two trams is better). I got in late on the Thalys from Paris, bought a ticket and caught the next train to Sloterdijk, and was at the hotel in five minutes. The check-in was efficient and friendly, and the reception staff gave me a great room — 306, which is one of the end rooms with the huuuuuge windows. I loved the design in the room, and the bathroom was nicely appointed with rain shower head and all. I didn’t have breakfast, so can't comment on that; however, as a person who always makes myself a cup of tea in my room, I was very impressed that they had real porcelain tea/coffee mugs . My stay here was just what I wanted, and I highly recommend it.…
I found the hotel nice, the room size was fine for me as I was on my own, big bathroom (perhaps even too big), comfy bed. Breakfast was good, I found the staff in the breakfast room was very efficient and would clean up very fast. Train station is just across the street. Travelling for business, close to the office, I would absolutely come back.
The Mercure standard is alway great in the All Accor family. Always one of my favs the Hotel is located near the Sloterdijk Station, perfect to get into Amsterdam Central very easy and for the city tours. The Mercure staff very friendly and professional, the room was great. I can only suggest to go there A+++++
We spent a week at the Mercure Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station Hotel (31st December- 6th January), our stay was very good and the room very well equipped and elegant except for the strangeness that it was encased of beautiful windows that could not be opened because they were all sealed with silicone and there were not any handles. The staff was quite kind but we didn't like that for two times two different female employees told us that their shift was about to end in two minutes and they had to go, by leaving our request to another colleague. We decided not to have breakfast in the hotel because it was a bit expensive (19.50 euros per person). The position of the hotel is quite good, we recommend the tram 19 and the bus 22 to reach the city centre of Amsterdam and the bus 369 to reach Schiphol Airport.…
