First, getting into the hotel parking did not prove easy. No one answering the bell, I had to phone a Dutch number, and finally after they checked my reservation (which took some time) they agreed to lift the barrier… Second, I had to pay for my stay right away, first time in my life… Third, as I came in at 3pm my room had not been made. Had to has the reception desk…. And they do not seem to manage their parking spaces too well … though you pay 25€/day for it. Found the last one today, (my son had to get out of the car to ask the girls at the reception to let me in. Were 3 looking at the same IPAD, doing God knows what!) right in front of another client who had probably paid too and judging from his face’s colour, was not too happy to park on the street (very difficult in Utrecht) I would say the management does it’s job rather poorly. And coming back at night after dinner, did not really made me too happy. Lumbock seems very friendly during the day, not so much around 9.30 PM.

Excellent hotel for families with small children. This hotel has rooms with separate bedrooms wich is ideal for small children. We did have breakfast included wich was very good. The staff is friendly. There is also on site parking. The location is a short walk from the city Centre.

The suites in this old monastry turned boutique hotel are spacious and very nicely decorated. Staff is very friendly and the outside terrace is stunning. Really a great place in Utrecht to stay for both leisure and business!

We spent a short family weekend with our children in this former cloister, lovely interior ( and young spirit of staff at the lobby (also Spanish speaking). Good for families (family rooms available), situated in the nice borough of Lombok, a 10 minutes walk from the train station and 15 minutes from the old town. Lovely dinner in the restaurant, but unfortunately served too cold, which was a real pity, male waiters a little bit too nonchalant.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Christmas dinner was wonderful. The other meals were fine but not outstanding, esp. given the price. The best was the breakfast. A wide range of food and plenty of time to eat at much as you wanted. Housekeeping was good, but not great at replacing the caffeine-free tea (I reported that to the front desk so know it will get better). This is a converted convent so it's not super handicap friendly. I tripped over door sills all the time because every door had to be stepped over. The stairs are crazy narrow and weird and take a bit to get used to. The elevator helps. But it was in a good neighborhood (working with a large Muslim community) and an easy walk from the city center. Grocery stores nearby and our kids even got their hair cut down the street. We'd stay here again if we couldn't be in the city center.
