We didn’t know until we arrived that the bar and restaurant were closed for 3 nights of our stay. Reception staff told us that this was due to covid and a lack of guests. This means that you can’t get a drink or a snack (we didn’t book the breakfast) therefore it is not a hotel experience as such for our 5 nights stay. Lovely hotel and very welcoming staff. Location is perfect for walking around the city. Rooms are comfortable and well designed and finished. Only gripes are that we had to request clean towels after 3 days even though we had left our used ones in the bath. The sofa bed is not very stable and tips over when you sit on the edge of it. We also found a stray gents underpants under the bed! Overall impression is that it was good value for money. The church bells ring every 15 minutes so use the ear plugs provided if you want a full nights sleep.

Dear Rosaleen, thank you so much for your extensive review! This is much appreciated. We love to read that you enjoyed the location, service, and rooms so much! I can imagine that you would have preferred the restaurant to be open at the moment of your stay. They are doing their utmost to be open all seven days a week. We will discuss all the feedback with the team, and will also do a double check under the beds... However, we hope you overall had a lovely stay with us, and we would love to have you as our guests again in the future! Perhaps we can then turn that 4 stars into 5. Once again, thank you for your review and have a nice evening! Kind regards, Nina | The Nox Hotel

Super hotel, very confortabel bed, clean and functional room, very nice shower, very friendly hostesses. The combinatie with Hemel en Aarde for an excellent breakfast makes this hotel absolutely a recommendable place to stay in the center of Utrecht.

Great location and cosy boutique hotel. Loved the fact that I could cast Netflix. The small room was indeed small but very charming. Due to covid we didn't take the breakfast in the room - it would have been quite a challenge du to the space

Really lovely hotel in the centre of Utrecht. Stayed here with a friend. The only weird thing is that you have to pay €100,- deposit and that the room is checked when you are waiting at reception. I never experienced that.

Dear guest, Thank you for your lovely review. Great to see you've enjoyed your stay with us. Our goal is to provide a top notch experience for every guest. We believe that asking for a security deposit prevents people from smoking or damaging our amazing rooms. Via this way we ensure that you can enjoy that wonderfully fresh room. We hope we can welcome you again one day. Kindest regards, Irvana | The Nox
