Unreliable company that profits from (admittedly) clumsy arrangement with us regarding chamber and menu price. No mercy for a our family that booked 10 out of 17 rooms for a wednesday night. Never go there.
Firstly, there is a boat stop directly opposite the hotel. In 5 minutes you can be in the centre of Rotterdam by boat taxi for 4.50 (you have to book it though by calling or emailing.) The service in this hotel is truly excellent. You arrive to a note on the bed stating who is working that evening, what the temperature is predicted to be and the cushion menu. The room was gorgeous, high-ceilinged and light. The bathroom was fantastic. I have NEVER seen a toilet menu in a Dutch hotel. The lobby area was beautiful, the room had the perfect ambience, just simply one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! I will definitely be returning.
Staff is always very nice and helpful. The building is historical, yet very well maintained and with modern amenities. Explore the interesting surroundings and hop over to Katendrecht, too, for an up-and-coming neighbourhood experience.
Lovely boutique hotel with a great ambiance. Rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated, respecting the heritage of the building. Very friendly staff, just minutes from downtown Rotterdam. Highly recommended !
We are going with my family every year to celebrate my birthday to some nice place, good hotel. So, it was already 7th time, when I was celebrating my birthday in the hotel. When I was ordering the hotel, I wrote to them an e-mail, that we are coming to celebrate my birthday, I would like to order champagne to the room and maybe a cake (no, I didn't ask any discounts, I already booked a Mezzanine room before). They answered me, that bottle of sparkling wine is 39e, I answered, that we will think and maybe we will buy, when we will arrive at the hotel. After a few days, I got an automatic e-mail from them webpage, that maybe I want to get a better room or some extra things with, of curse, some extra fee. And.. There was also a bottle of sparkling wine, which in to them internet page cost 35e. Ok.. It was already little bit funny, that somebody is writing bigger prices, then is in internet page (by the way, at the hotel price was 38e- so, no comments. ) At my birthday, we arrived at the hotel. They checked our ID's. And... No any happy birthday. In all these 7 years, first time hotel stuff didn't say anything. Of course, they don't have to say something, but if I am going to the small, cozy hotel (the specially on Covid time, when there is basically no tourist), I am really expecting, that hotel stuff will say something... (maybe I just expecting to much? ) And if we are skipping my personal not reached expectations, then hotel was nice, service was also friendly (special nice service girl was on the breakfast!), but in 4* hotel in the room was no table water (on the menu and in the room information, was written, that it had to be for free, but it was no any water). Location could be better- to go to the center need to take a metro, but a car parking on the street is cheap (so, some pluses and some minuses about location).…
