The hotel is kind of outdated. From the outside, when you enter and even the staff and the working method seems really outdated, BUT it has its unique charm. The room i stayed in was quite nice and I was very pleased by the look of the bathroom. Small but clean and kinda funky with all the colorful tiles. The...

In February and again in the autumn of 2014 we (two middle-aged couples) stayed a night over in this hotel, the first time to attend a concert of minimal music, the second time to visit an exhibition of modern art. We had a very good time there: we slept well in clean rooms, had a tasty breakfast and felt very...

I recently visited Antwerp for a 2 day trip for a concert. The Rubenshof is a lovely hotel, suited near the lively Het Zuid district, with a diverse choice of bars, restaurants and ideal for those wanting to mingle with the locals!. The hotel is is ideally located, away from the major tourist traps but also very accesible to the...

I was staying just one night in this hotel. I booked a room with shared bathroom but I have been upgraded to a room with an own - 1st time during all my trips. Room was clean, internet working, employees friendly.

Cannot fault welcome and helpfulness of staff even to the extent of holding a parking space for us outside while we negotiated the confusing road system and avoiding trams. Ideal location for the Royal Art Museum but tripsters beware, this excellent attraction is closed until 2017 - yes 2017! We found that we could still manage to walk to most...

My friend and I stayed here for a night when we were visiting Antwerp. The hotel is beautiful and the hostess is very warm, friendly and helpful! Because it is not that expensive you should not expect a lot of luxury, but everything was just fine! The hotel is not directly in the centre, but you can walk for 15min...

I needed an inexpensive but pleasant hotel in Antwerp and Hotel Rubenshof fit the bill perfectly. The lobby and reception area were unexpectedly large and gorgeous. My room, a single with shared shower, was tiny but had everything I needed - bed, sink, storage. There were some quirky little stairs to go up then down in to the room which...

I want to leave this place a great review but the bed really let it down. The hotel's in a good location, just 15 minutes walk from Antwerpen-Zuid station and 20 minutes to the centre, and with a tram stop right outside. The lady at reception was lovely and smiley which made me feel very welcome after travelling there alone...

Hotel Rubenshof provides everything I look for when visiting a European city: it's clean, comfortable, conveniently located, and reasonably priced. But this hotel offers so much more, especially for those who want to experience beauty in their surroundings. The building was once the residence of an archbishop, and little expense seems to have been spared in decorating the main floor,...
