Super nice boutique hotel ! We stayed here for just one night in the duplex junior suite (superior suite) and it was awesome it has 3 levels! A Very nice and big room, a stunning bathroom! And our own roof terrace( not a place you really can sit) when we arrived at The Matelot, we had a very friendly welcome,...

In General, the Hotel is very clairaudient. You can hear everything, what happens in front of it or in the room besides you. really everything (...)... since the reception is empty during the night, you have bad luck, or try it with nocking at the walls, after you heard you neighbors Dong "sports" for some hours. The Hotel itself Looks...

I was last here about 5 years ago. It was good then and it is still good. The location is central with easy walking to some great parts of Antwerp. Parking is a few minutes walk away in the underground parking. There are several nearby - set your Satnav to one of these not to the hotel. The people are...

I was here on business for a 4 nights last week and the hotel is perfectly located for the older section of Antwerp and also quite reasonably priced. The entrance/lobby is very cool and the rooms are spacious (room 9). The breakfast is ok (usual European fare), the rooms fairly clean and the WiFi was very good. These are the...

We stayed at hotel Matelote on "Boxing Day". We booked the room the night before. We stayed on the highest floor, it was a really big and spacious room. The room was clean and cozy with a good bathroom. There is no lift but the receptionist will help you carry your luggage up the stairs if needed. The room had a...

The hotel has clearly spent a lot of time and effort on the reception area so they can take photos and make it look like a nice hotel. Unfortunately our room was poor. Walls are paper thin, meaning we were woken up through the night and in the morning. The worst bit of the room was the bathroom which was...

Stayed in both rooms 9 and 6 for reasons not relevant to the review. Room 6 small and cold Room 9 spacious warm and lovely. Breakfast was a buffet but nice and location really central. No parking but big car park nearby. My advice- be clear you want a large room and then you should be ok.

I'd really love to find a nice Antwerp hotel at an affordable price, but I'm sorry to say this isn't it. The staff is fine, the central location is ideal, and I think this was trying to be a really hip place when it opened, but it hasn't been maintained well and doesn't live up to its promise. Our "deluxe...

There's no parking at the hotel but there is nearby and so you need to walk to get there as its in a pedestrian precinct but its cool because you will be in the heart of the beautiful magical city of Antwerp. No problem for us but to reach the first floor you need to negotiate a steep spiral staircase...

This was our first visit to a "boutique" hotel and, overall, could be deemed a success. On arrival we received an up-grade although this didn't altogether work to our advantage. We'd exchanged a small room overlooking the courtyard to a slightly larger one with a street view. Seemed an excellent exchange until we realised just what a party town Antwerp...
