We spent one night in Antwerp before leaving on our holiday. Like always, I checked tripadvisor to find an hotel and I stumbled onto this hotel. It's in a carfree street, just about 100 meters from City Hall, the Handschoenmarkt and the Groenplaats so dead centre. The interior of the hotel is real trendy and well kept. The rooms are...

The location cannot be faulted, the hotel may need odd bits of re painting but that doesn't detract from the general comfort and ease of the place, the breakfast was fine and I was able to pay for this on a daily basis in order to keep track of my spending. however the real clincher with the hotel was the...

On a narrow brick lane steps away from Antwerp’s early Reaissance cathedral, the Hotel Matelote offers minimalist, chic, comfortable lodging in a remodeled 16th century warehouse. Our top floor junior suite was a large, bright, steep-ceilinged room painted in shades of gray, with a sitting area and ample modern bathroom which included both shower and tub. Tucked under the eaves,...

This hotel is well located but it is self service all the way. We paid for breakfast and woke up to find we were expected to boil our own eggs and make our own coffee. We stayed in room 11 where we had a lovely bathroom but the bedroom was on the next level, only to be accessed via a...

We stayed one night in this lovely boutique hotel with a great and friendly staff. The hotel is build in several 16th century buildings, joined nicely together in a modern one hotel. During the check-in we got some nice tips for the shopping and restaurants. One of the staff members brought us to our room(number 5) which was on the...

This is a boutique hotel in the heart of old Antwerp. We had the suite (room 10) which had previously been the attic. A long room with a separate bathroom at one end. The bed was a little hard, but the room was warm, well lit and recently refurbished. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast at €12 seemed a little...

I was really pleased with my hotel choice on my recent trip to Antwerp. It was extremely convenient to walking the entire city. It is a boutique hotel that has very a contemporary style in an older building from the 16th century. I loved Room 7 on the second floor which was large and bright. The staff was very helpful...

We stayed for 2 nights in a cosy room.... and it was most definitely "cosy". Space is very limited, especially in the bathroom. However, the bed is very big (two singles pushed together) and very comfortable. The room is plain, but very clean. Now onto why we loved this hotel. From the moment we arrived, every person we met was...

Great hotel -- excellent location and the staff were extremely nirce and accomodating. I was traveling throughout the Netherlands and Belgium, in big hotels, boutique hoftels, and B&Bs, and this was by far my favorite.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights at the end of September. It is a small but friendly hotel - the staff were all extremely helpful, both in our contact with them via phone beforehand and during our stay. The room was very clean (we stayed in room 9, which is a cosy delux) although the decor is now...
