Stayed here for one night at the end of May. The hotel was nicely decorated and rooms were nice. However, my room (number 6 on the top floor) was like a miserable sauna. It was so hot that I considered going downstairs to sleep on the couch in the lobby. The air conditioning was not working correctly and when I...

Looking for an overnight hotel in Antwerp we found this through Trip Advisor. Situated just a couple of minutes’ walk away from the Cathedral it was perfect. We arrived late and were shown to our room via a small winding iron staircase (room 8)… There are several restaurants on the same road as the hotel and plenty more just moments...

This hotel is very centrally located for exploring the wonderful city of Antwerp. We stayed for two nights in the Matelote suite which was very well decorated and had a small balcony. We walked from Antwerp Centraal station to the hotel as it was such a lovely afternoon. The walk was very straight forward and gave us the opportunity to...

Great hotel. About a minutes’ walk from the towns centre. We travelled with our 9 month old and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. We were fortunate enough to have a room that faced the street. Highly recommended.

This is a small hotel in historical center of Antwerpen. you can walk to all the sites. the best thing was there is a Michelin recommend restaurant Invisible next to the hotel. I had my lunch and dinner there. You must make reservation for it. The price is very reasonable 35 Euro for three course dinner. Plantin-Moretus House-Workshops-Museum Complex is...

Stayed in smallest room. Very disappointed. Hardly any space to access bed. Fusty curtains and walls. Must mention staff were tremendous - friendly and extremely welcoming.

Two minutes walk from the cathedral and a surfeit of restaurants and bars. With so much choice on the door step we breakfasted and supped out. The cathedral's bells were in gentle earshot without being intrusively loud. Staff were universally friendly. Room comfortable, stairs steep, well appointed shower-room. They looked after our cases on or last day so we could...

We stayed at Hotel Matelote for a romantic weekend, and enjoyed every bit of it! It was right in the center of the old part of town, and there were lots of beautiful buildings and streets to wander through. The hotel staff recommended us 3 places to eat, and all turned out to be fabulous. There was even a cute...

Myself and fiance came to Antwerp as part of a European trip in October. We dont like large chain hotels, so these smaller boutique hotels are always our first choice. We changed our booking twice due to travel plans changing, and the staff were happy to accommodate, even though the booking was a fixed date price. The room was large,...

Only one negative comment to say about this hotel, the used toiletry products should be replaced every day. That is it! This hotel was a great find, right in the middle of the old town. We were a max of 15 mins walking distance to the furthest attraction and 20 seconds to the first bar. You would expect some noise...
