The woman behind the counter was soooo rude to poeple having a workshop there. She kept making a scene and was verbally agressive towards them. All guests felt very offended by her behavior. Never again

In agreement with the other reviewers, the people that worked there were pleasant and the facility was basically clean. But for 100 euros for 4 people, it was an expensive hostel. First, just to note that they do provide sheets - of course, you have to make your own bed. That's not a big deal but unbelievably, the blankets are...

We had a very enjoyable stay in this architecturally very interesting and well-located youth hostel. Our room was comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly, and breakfast was totally adequate. We also made the most of the free large car park right beside the hostel (it was a weekend) and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the beautiful city of Mechelen. What...

It's 3 years since my first review, and pleased to report that standards have been maintained by manager and staff. WiFi is now FREE (downstairs). Everywhere is clean and everyone is friendly and helpful.

A large (46) school party (11-17 yrs) - problematic arrival and check-in, as we arrived during afternoon closure (11.00 - 5.00). Even though this was pre-booked, reception was not prepared for us, so our welcome was less than ideal. Putting that to one side, the hostel provided all that we needed, and we eventually saw a few smiles. Food was...

Great value for money. We stayed in a single room. Rooms are perfectly clean, good sheets and mattress and the breakfast is lovely. Karine very friendly! It would be nice, however, to get a towel upon request. Make sure you check in between 8am and 11am, and 17:00 and 23:00. Close to direct train to Brussels airport and close to...

This is a modern, clean and comfortable hostel, and part of the "Hosteling International" group. There is a dining room (breakfast daily and other meals if previously ordered, a small bar, and internet access (including paid wifi). There are NO tv's in the bedrooms (only in the bar), and NO room service. Bring your own sheets and towels. The rooms...

Very close to Brussels, Leuven and Werchter (where the annual festival is held), the hostel is extremely good accommodation at a very convenient price. The rooms are from 2 people bedroom onwards, completely clean and "Spartan" comfortable, meaning you have everything you need for a young people group/couple. It is situated close to the Mechelen center which is within walking...
