The hotel is located in the old town, right next to the shopping street and on one of the restaurant streets. With the location like that it offers quite good deals as compared to other hotels nearby. Very friendly and helpful English speaking staff is a plus. Also quite good breakfast with selection of cheese, meats, cereals, yogurt and fruits....

Conveniently located near Les Galleries St Hubert and La Grande Place, this elegant 19th c. building is desperately in need of a make over. The rooms are cheaply decorated and the furnishings are old, time worn, and hugely unattractive. Even the upper floor rooms- said to be suitable for business travellers- are not sound proof. During the night drunks shouted...

We travel with a young group and it's the perfect hotel. Best price for the location - five minute walk to the Grand Place, restaurant street around the corner. Yes, the rooms are small, and it can be noisy at night, but I bring ear plugs. Breakfast room is tiny, but the food is good. Boiled eggs, toast, yogurt, juice...

Nothing special about this hotel other than its location! Right in the centre of the city with huge number of restaurants within staggering distance. We only spent 2 nights here, staff were very helpful and friendly and breakfast was adequate. On the whole the room was clean (although it didn't get cleaned while we were there) but the biggest problem...

It is due to King William I’s younger brother, the revered gentleman-prince Frederik of the Netherlands (1797-1881), that the riots in Brussels instigated by francophil separatists in September 1830 were not violently suppressed by the Dutch forces that had arrived to restore the order. In the early morning of September 27, 1830, Frederik retreated his army from Brussels in order...

Totally overpriced for a small room, dirty moquette, more than poor sound-proofing (you hear people talk at normal volume), smell of smoke, and a super thin mattress. Boring breakfast, no vegetables, only cheese and ham. The only positive points: 1) position, excellent, near the metro and you can walk to the Grand Place. 2) The bathroom was new and clean.

Came to Brussels to visit the Christmas markets & this hotel did not disappoint. Due to its positioning, I was easily able to explore all of the markets, with several almost literally a stones throw away. The street outside the hotel is very busy & quite noisy. I imagine that could be a problem on warm nights, but after exploring,...

It's been some time since I stayed in this hotel but the bitter taste remains and hasn't changed a bit. Our room was really small - we couldn't take too much of our stuff out of the luggage because we had no space for it. Most of the rooms on our floor were the same. We had a window facing...

Location and service were what made me give a three star review. Other than that this hotel needs a remodel ASAP! The hallways smell horrible, you cannot give one step without making noise, the showers are so tiny that you barely have room to shower properly, and the worst part is that the walls are paper thin! If the people...

I stayed one night in HOTEL OPERA, which is near to Brussels central. This hotel is very clean! As I'm from Ireland, i didn't realise the electric socket was different to Ireland, but the friendly staff allowed me to borrow from him. Good price, good service! But there is a disadvantage for living in this hotel, which is it is...
