Novotel Brussels City Centre is often celebrated for its prime location, nestled close to key tourist attractions and public transport, which travelers find extremely convenient. While the atmosphere is generally regarded as comfortable, with particular praise for the cleanliness and the nice decor, some guests have called out issues with room cleanliness and noise. The hotel's amenities are appreciated, although there are mentions of service inconsistencies and room provisions not meeting expectations. Opinions on value are mixed, with some guests believing the pricing to be reasonable, while others point out additional costs and argue for better offerings at the price point.

Hotel loyal to the Novotel chain, which we regularly frequent during our vacations. We appreciate that the children can share our room, this allows us to stay within a reasonable budget. The staff are always charming and attentive. The restaurant is very nice and there is something for everyone, simple and tasty cuisine, the same for breakfast. The table football upstairs was a lot of fun for us. The swimming pool is really too shallow for swimming (0.90m), but with the hammam and heated showers it offers a moment of relaxation after walks (in the rain) or a day of work. We recommend this hotel.

We spent the Easter weekend in this Novotel and were pleasantly surprised: the location is ideal, the neighborhood is very pleasant, everything is within walking distance but there is a metro station just 5 minutes away on foot, shops and restaurants are located in a nearby pedestrian area and to park, no problem, there is a public car park right in front of the hotel (22 € per day).
The hotel lobby is spacious, the welcome professional, the executive room is large and well insulated even though it overlooks the street. Only one regret, the bed is not 1m60 as is now the norm in all hotels in this category.
We didn't try the restaurant but we had a drink at the bar, the staff was very friendly.
We recommend this hotel, the prices are reasonable and we have already booked for our next weekend with friends in July.

Although it was just my partner & I staying at this Novotel, we opted for a deluxe family room to enjoy some quality time & luxury.
But what a disappointment!
The check-in process was laborious.
The room, although big, was very basic, empty & run-down, and clearly has not had a facelift or refurbishment in decades. The old curtains were torn and full of holes, the carpet worn, decoration virtually non-existant.
The room only has 2 basic chairs, but no comfy sitting facilities like a sofa or armchair. It's also very dark, even with all the lights turned on.
The soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty upon arrival. The water in the sink never gets really hot. No bathtub. Shower head is fixed too high up and hard to maneuver. Cheap toilet paper and no toilet brush.
There was no minibar (which was promised) and only a tiny fridge.
The old, built-in television has the USB port connection switched off, so watching anything from a usb key was out of the question.
The double bed is not king size, and only has a tiny nightstand on one side of the bed.
The highly advertised swimming pool is a joke: it can barely fit 4 people without a person bumping into another.
We expected a warm, cozy, modern room but it felt more like a room you would get in an old, two-star hotel. Maybe there are more modern, better equipped rooms in this Novotel, but the room we were given was a real letdown.
And at an average rate of 300 euros a night (€1800 for 6 nights), totally overpriced!
The invoice we received at check-out was incomplete and only listed the last night!
We stayed in many other Accor hotels in Brussels & Antwerp over the years that offered more quality & comfort for much lower prices.

We have just stayed in this hotel for 5 nights to spend the 31st in Brussels.
As soon as we took possession of our room, the problems began.

When booking 3 months before, a bathtub was requested since the selected category has one. And of course we end up with a shower. We immediately go down to reception to report the problem. The reception was cold, we were told that the rooms have showers, after putting up the images on the website, they told me we will change your room. We went for a walk all day, returning at 8:30 p.m., we took possession of a new room and again we returned with a shower instead of a bathtub.

Again we return to reception, to ask if we were being made fun of.
After 15 minutes of waiting, we were told that we were going to have a room with a bathtub, the one that I had been promised 8 hours before. After 1 hour of waiting at the bar since we were offered a drink to wait, we got the room we had reserved.

Throughout the stay, you had to ask for what was missing, one day a bathrobe and slippers, another day half of the mini bar included in the price of the room, another day the cups, or even the kit and necessary which can be found from the start in the room.

We have no complaints about the room, the cleanliness, the quality of the bedding. We just notice that from year to year the quality of service is declining compared to the other establishment near the Grand Place. The plus of the small swimming pool and the hammam is not enough. The breakfast buffet is good, but we are only entitled to smoked salmon from January 2 when the hotel empties........ Too bad about the price of the night and breakfast.

We will not return to this establishment, we were too disappointed, even though we had reserved 3 rooms there. The reception staff were very cold and unwelcoming, while the rest of the staff were very polite. However, it is the first contact when we arrive.

I do not recommend this hotel because of the quality and lack of consistency of service.

We had booked for our 10th wedding anniversary. The stay started very well with an upgrade related to our Platinum status and with a perfect welcome from the receptionist present at our arrival. The evening receptionist was also very courteous and granted us a late check-out.
Saturday in the day, we 100% recommend the hotel.
The lack of insulation (room yet on the 7th floor) woke us up all night. The neighborhood is quite noisy and we had the feeling of being on the street with passers-by.
In view of the catastrophic weather on Sunday, we decided not to enjoy the late check-out and to spend our afternoon in the pool area. But we were denied access for incomprehensible insurance reasons. The check-out was carried out by a receptionist not smiling and not very pleasant. To be told "it's not our fault, it's insurance..." is rather unprofessional. All over the world, we have been granted pool access as Patinum guests even after the check-out. The lack of umbrellas available, the lack of waiting space and a bar opening at 4pm forced us to face the wind and rain as we had no place to wait for our train back.
Actually mixed stay and commercial listening not up to the disappointment felt on this stay for such an important event for us. No special attention for this event other than the classic Platinum benefits. In London, we got the upgrade, a birthday cake, fruit and two extra drink coupons from the management...
I will be more attentive before booking again here. This is a shame because the location is perfect but the customer experience remains an axis of progress.

Excellent location for the Christmas markets. Rooms well-equipped. Our family room had a bathroom with WC separate, which was practical for four people all sharing one room. We found the breakfast to be varied and plentiful.

Our only complaint was our check-in experience. Despite booking a family room for 2 adults and 2 children, we were initially sent to room 320 to find out key card didn’t work. We returned to reception to find that the receptionist had intended to write 322 on our keycard sleeve. Unfortunately this room only had one child bed, not two. We returned to reception again, where it took fully 15 minutes and five different desk staff to solve the problem and eventually assign us room 215. While this was obviously inconvenient and a bad start to our stay, what we disliked the most was that not one member of staff apologised for the inconvenience of or saw fit to explain what had gone wrong. This was very disappointing and would probably put us off from staying again.

Dear Craig, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are delighted that you enjoyed the well-equipped rooms and found our separate WC layout practical for your family's needs. It is great that you appreciated our varied and plentiful breakfast offerings, including the full buffet breakfast with warm, cold, bread, and healthy corners to cater to a variety of preferences. However, we sincerely regret the inconvenience you faced during check-in. Our intention is always to provide a smooth and welcoming start to your stay, and it is clear that we fell short in this instance. We are sorry that the key card mishap and subsequent room assignment delay did not reflect the high standards we strive to uphold. We will follow up on this with our team to ensure that our service is more attentive and that such issues are averted in the future. Nonetheless, we are pleased that you found our location to be excellent, especially for visiting the Christmas markets. Our central position in Brussels does indeed make for an ideal base to explore the city and its festive offerings. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future. Kind regards, Marc UYTTERHOEVEN, General Manager

We are not used to this from the Novohotels in various cities and countries. Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment and we are still here. The room carpet is covered in cigarette burns, the towels are not replenished, there are usually 2 bottles of water in the fridge - not here! Before booking, we asked about the sauna, but on site both saunas are closed. When we asked about the bathrobes, we were told literally: there are none. Later, a nice lady at the reception (speaking German) said: yes, we have bathrobes and would be happy to bring you some to your room later. 2 hours later, when the bathrobes were still not there, another lady at the reception said: yes, we will do it. 4 hours later, after returning to the room, there were no bathrobes, when we asked by phone at the reception, a man rudely said that it was a misunderstanding and that there were no bathrobes. Not even for a rental fee. In no 4 star hotel and at Novotel in general all over the world and no matter what room category we had, we had to beg for bathrobes.

The airport is about 20 mins from the hotel and cost about EUR46. As we arrived early morning into Brussels, we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and go for a wonder into the city. The hotel also due to availability allowed earlier check in later in the day which was ideal.

The location of the hotel was perfect as we were within 10 mins walking location of all the major tourist sights including Grand Place, Mannekin Pis, Choco Museum as well as some historical stunning Churches, some of which were literally on the other side of the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by many different restaurants and cafes - of all budgets including so many halal options which was a total surprise. There are also supermarkets within walking distance for water/snacks etc.

Room was cleaned everyday and all staff were always friendly and attentive. Facilities in the room include tea/coffee making and one bottle of water as well as the standard things.

Breakfast - excellent variety, plentiful, fresh and delicious and all staff were very friendly and cheerful especially towards children which was great to see. Worth paying extra to include breakfast.

Swimming Pool - small but was ideal and my son enjoyed this, shallow water which is perfect for children. There is also some gaming/fun for children in the lounge.

Again due to late evening flight, we were able to leave our luggage and do last minute shopping and a visit to the Choco Museum.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again if we visit Brussels and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the city.

We stayed only one night but we really liked the hotel. With excellent location.
Predisposed staff and good service.
The room was very spacious, comfortable although it had very few plugs and no light tables.
For breakfast, we did not hire the buffet service but for 9 euros we had a coffee, orange juice and some crescents, perfect for us who are not eating so much.
We wish we could come back.
