The hotel is very well located just a few minutes walk from Centrale Station, Brewdog, and approx. 8mins walk to the square.
Check in was smooth and the reception staff were lovely.
The bar/lobby has a very relaxed and chill vibe, great place to have a nightcap.
The wine is self service (you pay at reception either on the day or at check out) Not sure how it works with beers and spirits .

I booked a single room and it was more than spacious.
Spotlessly clean
Comfy bed and pillows
Free in room safe
Kettle with tea and coffee
Bottle of water
Ample storage
Desk and flat screen tv

Bathroom was great with toiletries provided
The shower was very up to date with fixed cascade head overhead, and also a choice of a hand held hose
Water pressure and temperature were excellent

I didn't take breakfast so can't comment

Would definitely stay there again

I recently returned from a one-week stay at 9 Hotel Central in Brussels and give the property my highest recommendation. The hotel was a delight to use as my base for exploring Brussels and Belgium. First, the hotel is immaculately maintained and super clean. The clean modern aesthetic combined with rustic accent walls and furnishings was very appealing. My room was well maintained and cleaned each day by housekeeping staff. From large floor to ceiling picture windows in my room on the seventh floor I could gaze out upon fBrussels and the nearby cathedral. The location of the hotel is excellent for discovering the sights of Brussels. Just a very short stroll from the Central Station, from the hotel I could walk up the hill toward the Royal Palace, art museums and the Sablon district. Or I could walk down the hill and be at the Grand Place and Galleries St. Hubert in another few minutes. The reception staff was very welcoming and friendly each morning and evening and helped me find a local pharmacy to take my Covid test to return to the US. The breakfast offered by the hotel is outstanding with a wide variety of eggs, bacon, breakfast meats and cheeses, breads and croissants, yogurts, fruit, juices and coffees - even Belgian waffles if you so chose. I was able to discover Leuven and Antwerp on my own by taking the local trains directly from the Central Station - and it was all made possible by the wonderful 9 Hotel Central and its outstanding team and location.

Great location next to Central Station and within a 5 - 10 minute walking distance to the main sights and museums of central Brussel. Rooms are modern with a good bed. Small but adequate bathroom with nice shower. Nice breakfast buffet with enough choice. Hotel has its own small 24 h bar which is serviced by the front desk staff. Rooms facing the main street pick up a bit of city noise. Friendly helpful staff. Compared with similar hotels in central Brussels, this one offers better value/money, especially if breakfast is included.

I booked a stay through Trivago for 3 nights and set the 'Breakfast Included' filter. Looked good, so booked it. But, when I got the confirmation, it was for slightly less money, but no breakfasts included. That's pretty hopeless. So, I asked if I could please have the room at the price offered and including breakfasts. The answer was no, and breakfasts will now cost over 100 euros more. OK, well that is not what I booked and a bit extortionate, so I asked them to please cancel my booking for which I expected no charge as it was their problem. They said they would do that, but then when I checked my credit card statement, they had charged me the full amount, and now will not refund me. The booking was made 4 months in advance, so they have plenty of time to re-sell the room.

So, be very careful, these people are not to be trusted.

Please be aware that check-in time is 3 pm even though the website clearly states that it's 2 pm. We arrived to the hotel around 8 AM after an international flight from the states and completely understood when we were told our room wasn't ready yet. We left our bags and ventured out to look around Brussels. We returned to the hotel at 1:30 pm (which we thought was just 30 min before check in) and were told that check in wasn't until 3 pm. On top of that, they allowed the individuals who were staying in the room the night before to have a late checkout even though they knew we were waiting for the room. Very frustrating that the website is wrong (and no other communication was sent stating that check in is actually 3 pm) and also confusing as to why they would allow someone to have a late checkout when they know the next guests are waiting for the room. They mumbled a "sorry" but that was about it. Stay elsewhere.

The toilet of the first room was faulty, and we were moved to a second room. However, the second room had a faulty door which was not lockable. We then agreed to move back to the first room and to travel to the second room on a different floor when we needed to use the toilet. Yet, when we returned in the evening, we found out that the hotel’s housekeeper forgot to attend the first room and the bathroom was dirty. The hotel then sent us to a third room which was a single-person room for both of us. We were told by the manager to expect one to two nights of full refund which will be arranged on Monday.

Regrettably, after checking out from the hotel to return home on Sunday evening, we received an email on Monday saying that the hotel considered us “re-roomed” and thus would not honour their promise for a refund. I’m afraid that the hotel acts in bad faith by breaching the contract to give us a single room but charged for a double, and to refuse honouring a promised full refund of one to two nights. The conduct of their management was totally unacceptable and they should not be allowed to take advantage of visitors to Brussels.

The male receptionist in the hotel was very rude which has affected my experience tremendously. It was very intimidating to interact with him, I almost felt bad for being nice to him in the first place. The lady was very polite and kind. The single room I stayed in on 7th floor was clean, tidy and comfortable. Beware that it might be noisy intermittently until about 10pm as the utility rooms are on the floor. Unfortunately the workers slam the doors hence can be disrupting. In case if you have forgotten your adapters, don’t rely on the hotel, rather get it yourself. I was in need for a couple of hours for my work laptop but they had none. Otherwise, location is strategic and the hotel is clean but I personally wouldn’t go back.

This is a wonderfully modernized boutique hotel inside an old building. I was surprised at how spacious my room was with a high ceiling, excellent bathroom facilities, ample natural and other lighting. I liked the old natural exposed brick on an entire wall and the wood flooring. Staff were unfailingly helpful. The location is excellent for walking into the city center and museum sites, access to the subway, and easy for Uber rides, etc. It will be my preferred hotel next time I am in Brussels for work with the EU.

We enjoyed 4 nights in this excellent hotel. The interior and exterior of the building are true to the images on their marketing and had a very contemporary feel. ALL staff were welcoming, friendly and polite, the service was superb from the cleaners to reception and management. The breakfast was nice and long, never crowded, and the breakfast room was light, airy and comfortable. The usual fare is offered, and it was a good start to the day to leave the hotel well fed. On arrival at Gare Midi it was a twenty minute stumble to the Hotel. From there it is about 5 mins to great restaurants, 10 mins to Grand Place, and around 15 mins to the Fine Arts Museum. The Hotel is very well placed and we often popped out, came back, and went back out through the day. We stayed in room 703 which had a lovely balcony and the room was large. A comfortable bed and pillows assured good sleeping and the bathroom was well equipped. There is a busy road running past the hotel, which was pretty noisy during the day. It never kept us awake at night and personally I enjoy the sound of a busy capital city so that might be subjective. This was an excellent hotel that I would book again and highly recommend.

Very disappointed. A simple request for an additional pillow was met with a dismissive “we don’t have any spare pillow” Ran out of toilet paper (only a bit when we arrived, and the room was not serviced in the two day we were there
Location was disappointing. I could not in god conscience recommend this hotel!
