The surroundings are breathtaking. This boutique hotel is very cozy. We had an amazing view on the volcano from our balcony. Service was great. I ate a delicious sea bass with mango and ginger sauce, and for breakfast the most delicious homemade roasted muesli! Certainly an address to remember!

I stayed in the lodge for 3 nights but I wished I spent more time there . I Had a Room in the main building which was beautiful, with a balcony overlooking the valley and the volcano and tastefully decorated. But what really makes this lodge stands out from many others I have stayed in the past is the friendliness...

My husband and I took this trip for my birthday. This lodge was our first night in Costa Rica. Sadly we were supposed to get there around 11:30am and due to flight cancellation and delays (volcano ash) we did not arrive until about 6:30pm. Once there we were very excited. The reception and social areas were very warm a small...

Nestled in between the rolling foot hills this quaint little lodge is the prefect place to stay. Just an hours drive from the airport through the scenic farms it is also the perfect place to rest after a long flight. With beautiful views amazing service (they even put a hot water bag in your bed) and excellent food, this truly...

The food is lovely as are the staff but try to get a room in the house rather than the cottages outside they are much nicer. I managed to change my room and the staff were very helpful. The volcano and La Paz are nearby its surrounded by lush farmland. The main house is very stylish.

This was one of the most wonderful places we stayed during our trip. The main house had a very tasteful, warm and cozy atmosphere and dinner there was very nice too. The food was great and so was the wine. The rooms were just a beautifully appointed as the main house and we were very comfortable. Given the chilly nights,...

This is a really interesting spot high up in the hills. We were a little concerned on the long lane way into the lodge as there were local cows using the lane as well. Any concerns disappeared at check in. Our room was huge with a great shower that had glass windows to the outside, no modesty here. We had...

Very comfortable place to stay when visiting the area of Poas volcano. Lodge clean and very comfortable public areas with open fires and food very appetising. The only fault was the receptionist who was nothing short of unwelcoming and abrupt. She let the whole place down.

Intimate setting. The staff greeted us outside and personally walked us to our rooms and attended to us almost butler style! I like that! The room was musty I believe from the humidity. Clean. Be careful on the floors. They have throw rugs and if you are barefoot or have shoes on, it is easy, very easy to slip and...

If you're keen to visit the Poas Volcano and La Paz Waterfall Gardens (both of which we'd recommend highly), then the location of this lodge can't be beaten. This lovely place is set in nice grounds on one side of a working dairy farm. The common areas/lounge are lovely and the rooms a beautifully appointed, spacious and quiet. Food in...
