My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days and it was amazing. Muriel is such a sweet and accommodating hostess. The fridge is stocked with delicious beer and after 10 months we are still dreaming about her breakfasts. Everything was very clean and we felt extremely safe. The location is great for accessing the main part of town and the citadel. I have recommend La Villa Balat to multiple people and will continue to do so.
Top location next to the lake. A beautiful house with wonderful deco and my pictures tells everything. Nice host is kind and offers lots of info about the city. Breakfast is well presented. Parking is not in front of the house but there is no problem to find sonewhere close. The mini bar at the liabrary of the house makes you feel.at home and drinking local beer for free after along walk of the day is just relaxing.
This might be my favorite place I’ve stayed. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, wonderful hospitality, and fantastic daily breakfast. Really was wowed at every step. Highly recommend for anyone staying in Namur.
This is truly a very special B&B in a beautiful Art Nouveau Villa set on the riverside. Muriel is a gem of a host and has designed the place to perfection. The views, atmosphere, rooms and breakfast make for an unforgettable stay in Namur! We can’t wait to return! Highly recommended!
We stayed as a couple for 4 nights in August 2018. There were some bridge works being undertaken by the house on the river and Muriel the owner ensured that this did not affect us, keeping us informed in advance and kindly offering a free cancellation if we were concerned. It was no problem for us and simply made the stay a bit more of an adventure! The welcome here is very personal and if arriving by car you will be shown to an underground and very safe car park a short walk away, Free drinks are available throughout your stay in a small library, including a good selection of teas, coffee and beer. We stayed in the "Alphonse Balat suite". We chose this as it has a small conservatory and my wife would be staying here during the day some times so it was ideal for her to sit and read in nice surroundings. The bathroom was enormous and facilities provided were lovely (Toiletries towels etc). Breakfast was plentiful and consisted of local pastries, fresh fruit, meats cheeses and eggs from the hens in the garden - freshly laid! We hope to visit again some time, this really is a genuinely 5 star rating well deserved.…
