Stayed there just a night as a stopover during a roadtrip on France, Belgium and Switzerland. A great place to spend the night! Large, beautifully decorated room and a family atmosphere. The breakfast was god as well, I would rather prefer some more variety, but still a great value for money. Will definitely come back for a weekend, as the village is lovely!

Luciana and Alain are the most gracious and down to earth people. On our arrival we sat out on the porch with them for drinks & nibbles and it was like we had just called in on old friends. On the whole we found Belgium people to be very much like us - Australians. Absolutely adored our stay here. The b&b was decorated with love and is first and foremost a 'home'. Our room had lovely views over the garden and was very clean. Luciana is a talented artist and testament to this is all the beautiful paintings adorning the walls. She even did our washing which was so appreciated as all travelers will agree can be a nightmare when your away for more than 2 months!!!.The village of Hastiere is small and peaceful and a good base to visit bigger cities such as Namur & Dinant. We stayed in Hastiere one day and spent the day bike riding and it was probably one of the most relaxing and fun days of our trip. We dined in the local hotel which is afew buildings in front of the b&b and the food was good. We got to know the owners and locals. So much so that we would meet back at the end of the day for a drink. The breakfasts were delicious and Alain also gave us access to his computer to catch up on emails.Special, special place. We stayed here in June 2011.

We have stayed with Luciana and Alain on many occasions and we love their welcome and their beautiful home. The house is so elegant, decorated with the exquisite taste of Luciana who is Italian and an artist and lecturer. Each ensuite room reflects a different artistic interest and is a relaxing haven with beautiful views over the peaceful gardens. We enjoy their sense of humour and their company - especially over a delicious breakfast at weekends when there is time to chat.Language is no problem - laughter is universal. Enjoy your stay and soak in their advice on this lovely part of Belgium! Plenty of room to park our Italian car and even the Rucksack! We have stayed for one night and sometimes a few days - so much to see!

We stayed here for 3 nights, and enjoyed the high standard of our spacious room. Alain, our host, met us at the rail staion and drove us 15 minutes to the village of Hastiere where the B&B is located, near Dinant. Luciana is Alain's wife, but she did not speak English, and worked as an art teacher, so we mostly interacted with Alain and other guests. Our room was lovely, large and well furnished, with a comfortable bed, but lacked a hair dryer. There was no daily cleaning. Only liquid soap was provided in the lovely and large bathroom, along with the usual towels, and the toilet was electric, and flushed noisily. Small items in an otherwise excellent accommodation. An excellent breakfast was eaten with the host, at a time of our choosing. It included fresh orange juice, a bowl of Kiwis, yogurt, choice of croissants and breads, cheeses, and boiled eggs. When the laundrette in the village could not do our laundry, Alain insisted his wife would do it. It was returned to us beautifully clean and folded- the maid had done it. We recommend this tasteful and comforable B&B, which has such helpful hosts!
