Superb traditional hotel. We had room 5 which was on the 1st floor, large and spacious overlooking the main street. WiFi is good, breakfast good and staff very helpful in suggesting restaurants & bars. Location perfect just a 5 minute walk to bars/restaurants. Car Parking is on street and spaces do get full quickly but we found a space just...

The location is excellent. Within minutes walk from the most beautiful part of Ghent and yet very easily accessible by car/taxi/tram. Many restaurants at a stone's throw. We loved the enormous rooms, at least the ones we stayed (4 and 5). There are armchairs, a table, a cabinet for your clothes and objects etc. Ancient building (1593) in which much...

We had a huge room over looking the garden and the hotel is 5 minutes from the beautiful center of Ghent. Breakfast very nice and staff very friendly and helpful. I think some of the smaller rooms, top floor, where not quite upto scratch.

I felt a bit like I was staying in old Belgium. the Stairs were old and wooden, the rooms filled with antique furniture. There is a fireplace mantle that would have been perfect had I been able to run a fire, but it was alas, simply decorative, likely out of fire hazard in a hotel. The bathroom has a bathtub-...

A beautiful old quiet hotel with bed and breakfast down a quiet side street next to a music academy. This place reminded me of staying in student's accomodation in Oxford but of much higher standard. Staff are very welcoming and rooms are nice and clean.

Hotel in a 16th century house. Excellent location and very helpful staff. I had to leave early (before breakfast timings started) and the owner gave me a to-do breakfast to take along :) hospitable and friendly. Recommend.

The hotel makes play on its history and links with the past even to having a suit of armour in the dining room. For those wanting nostalgia this may be the very place. However, staying in a museum may not be to everyone's taste. The amenities are somewhat dated and, I suspect, have not been upgraded for a number of years....

Lovely, funky, amazing location...I would go back !! The breakfast is included and very nice. The room we stayed in could use little updating while preserving the old feel...new bedding, and a fresh coat of paint would be a +. Loved the little courtyard. The staff was very nice , helpful and professional. Gent is an incredible city with an...

We settled on Erasmus as we left our run for a reasonable price in Bruges too late (August is like that in Europe!). To our delight we loved Ghent as well as our hotel, possibly more than Bruges. The hotel is a very old building, which we loved, three storeys high. No lift. Even the first floor rooms have to...
