I had two nights here at the end of the university term, it's a quiet hotel with friendly staff. I was up on room on floor four, a good climb up the stairs (there is a lift) which are narrow. The bar area was popular but not busy, beer seemed reasonably priced. Room was small & dated but clean and comfortable. Ensuite was ideal. Only issue was noise from street which was until 4am both nights. Breakfast was continental served in bar and fine for price. The location is ideal for getting around city centre which is lovely.

This hotel is right above a club. The noise at night is unbearable. All the people are out on the streets. The decibles of the dancing are such that you can't sleep. It is rundown. There is noise in the corridor and it feels unsafe. Stay away from this place.

The hotel Professor is in a great position - a minute from the beautiful centre of Leuven. I was very pleasantly suprised at the value. I'd stay here again on that basis alone, but there is more to bring me back to Leuven. On arrival, my first concern was soemwhere safe to park my motorbike. Staff reassured me that it is a safe area but gave me directions to indoor car parks I might want to use. I decided to leave my bike in a bicycle parking area on the side of the the street opposite the hotel. No problems. The Hotel Professor is a lovely city centre hotel with very pleasant staff who were keen to help. They were attentive and chatted amiably without imposing. My bed was comfortable and the shower was good (two things any traveller would wish for). I would recommend teh Hotel Professor for singles, couples and family groups. The hotel iteslf is probably not suited for partying, but there are plenty of bars around to keep raucous groups entertained.

Stayed for 2 nights on a motorcycle trip midweek. Parking is underground and secure a must for any motorcyclist staying over night in this town although it is a long walk [half a mile] when carring bike luggage and gear. Lueven is a students town and you will hear them into the early hours in the streets shouting, kicking over the numerous parked cycles and generally being a nuisance. The €17/night bike parking is worth every penny for peace of mind. Onto the hotel. Cocktail specialist with good range of drinks. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly prepared. Dining area needs a lick of paint and a spruce up. Rooms looking a bit tatty but bedding was clean fresh and changed daily. Staff were friendly, helpful and knew the town very well. If you visit the Stella brewery check first as the shop is only open 1 day a month and tours are restricted to weekends. This town is best seen at night as the old buildings are nicely lit. Would I stay in this hotel again? Yes I would.

Mediocore hotel. Was ok in the middle of the city center. Old rooms need to be decorated again. Poor Breakfast and cocktail bar under hotel is poor 2. Room was small but clean. Beds were ok but a little short for me.
