Got a chance to stay here for 4 nights really great location superstore is at the basement And 1 min walk from Leuven Centrum. Rooms are small like any business hotel in Europe. Helpful and humble staff, access to kitchen with staff permission for heating water and precooked food.
This ibis was not as nice or comfortable as others I have stayed in, but staff were very helpful and it was extremely convenient to be located so close to the centre. I felt it was reasonably priced for the location.
I visited Leuven for a work conference, and Ibis Centrum was a good option. The location was on the edge of the centre of Leuven, so the conference venue and all evening function venues were easy walking distance from this hotel, but I was spared the noise of the centre of Leuven near the Oud Markt at night. The rooms are a good mid-range option; not huge and luxurious but not Spartan either. A good comfortable bed and thick curtains make for a good night's sleep. I can suggest requesting a room at the back of the building, as Brusselsestraat can get busy with buses early in the morning. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and Belgian beer on tap at reception made for a nice end-of-the-working-day ritual. I would stay here again.
We booked a couple of rooms for a weekend break - there was a summer festival on so Leuven was packed. The staff were really helpful from the start, and we were impressed with the way they managed to remain friendly and calm, even when they were busy. Our rooms were spotless, well laid out and had pretty much everything you could need (although the addition of a kettle would have been nice). We slept well on the comfortable beds, and made good used of the air con as it was pretty hot outside. The soundproofing was very effective and we didn't get disturbed although the hotel was full. The breakfast choices were great, particularly the waffle machine, and we also enjoyed a few beers in the reception area bar. We can fully recommend Ibis Beer, a specially brewed bottled beer created by Ibis staff members. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay - the hotel is in a good location, close to the city centre, and we thought it provided good value - it's much better than many of the budget hotels we've stayed in before, and also exceeded some of the more expensive hotels we've experienced in the past!…
