Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for one night on our way from the Uk to Germany. As we stayed on a Sunday night we got a great rate and upgraded to a "Charming room" with a great spa bath in a massive bathroom.
Room was nice although in some places furniture looked a bit worn around the edges. As the hotel was fairly empty we had a quiet and peaceful night sleep in a super comfy bed.
Breakfast was included in the rate and good. We really enjoyed the central location with everything in walking distance and although the underground parking garage is not cheap at Euro 25 it was super convenient.
Leuven is a lovely place and we would happily stay again in this hotel on our travels.

Room 12 - huge room and lovely bathroom - able to darken fully for a great nights sleep. Worried to find it adjacent to the breakfast/dining room area but room was sufficiently soundproofed and it has the sort of guests that are respectful of others when coming in late! BONUS - the bar as a meeting place or last night cap venue is super! Matteus looked after us and was hugely knowledgeable about Belgian beers being friendly and professional. Breakfast is a delight (a little expensive) so go earlier rather than later to have the best of an extensive choice. This hotel is brilliant value for money and all the staff make 'good' look easy. We travelled as a group of friends and everyone would give this hotel a BIG thumbs up!

Great 4 star hotel. Rooms a clean and lovely bathrooms. The first room we got on the upper floor had windows set high in the wall with no view, the one we were upgraded to was on the second floor with nice big windows. Lovely modern bathroom. Only two tiny bottles of water in the room, maybe 250 ml, you would need to stock up on that yourself if you want to use the coffee machine and still have some water left! There was no room service when we were there - but you could go and get something in the bar and have it there or bring it to you room.
If you are a light sleeper you may want a room at the back. Because it's a student town you will hear them during the night and the narrow cobbled street with high walls on either side funnels up the sound of voices and early morning traffic/deliveries on the cobbles - especially if you leave the window open. They turn off the air con in winter so we had the windows open and it was a trade off between heat and noise.
Staff very nice and professional.

We returned to the hotel and it was wonderful to be back. This time we had breakfast and it was super - great variety and all beautifully prepared and cooked.
We were working on our laptops outside in the lovely, quiet garden after breakfast and I went in to check if I could get another coffee but the staff member was cleaning the machine so I said it was fine. A while later, she came out with a cup of coffee to me. Fantastic service.
The entire hotel is maintained and cleaned to the highest standard. Bedrooms are lovely and the bathrooms are probably the nicest I've ever seen in any hotel.
Staff are exceptional and the overall experience is very relaxed and you feel you can really switch off.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the hotel in February.
The room in the new part (charming twin) was really comfortable with large windows and a really big bathroom with a window, which is so rare in hotels. Everything was really clean and well maintained.
We didn't have the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. I thought it seemed expensive at €22 per person.
The staff we met were all exceptionally helpful and friendly.
The location is super, close to everything but also very quiet.
Looking forward to returning.

more than I expected, wich is always positief.
my room was huge, a very special mix between old and modern.
the bath was amazing i love it.
just take into account that the bath has a systeem that cleans himself and makes a noise that scared me in the beginning, once i realised it was the bath everything is perfect.
highly recommended. specially the bed if you have backbone problems... you sleep like a baby i wanted to take it home with me.;)

This place had good reviews and it delivered. The mix of old and new in the building has been carried out superbly. The location is a lovely stroll to most destinations although use a taxi to and from the station if you have luggage. Our room was spacious and well appointed. Staff were top class and attentive. The hotel only provides breakfast which is an extensive buffet (by European Norms maybe not the excess we often see in America). It’s close to dozens of places to eat and the European cafe culture is part of the charm.

Amazing staff, all shifts. Large, comfortable , and quiet rooms. Showers build for tall people!
The breakfast was good. The Klooster bar was also great place for a nightcap or pre dinner drink.
Notes: if you need a taxi, reserve it multiple hours before if not the day prior. This hotel does not have a fitness room which is the only reason I did not assign 5 points.

In the heart of Leuven, easy walking to all the things you want to see, do, eat, and drink. Friendly and efficient staff, great breakfast. The hotel staff always wore masks. The only downer is that the Belgian hotel guest will not wear masks!
