Travellers' Choice
Hotel de Orangerie is located right on the most picturesque canal of medieval Bruges in the very heart of the city centre. This small XV century monastery of the Sisters Karthuizerinnen has been converted into a wonderful "boutique hotel", furnished with exclusive fabrics and antiques. All of the 20 graciously bedrooms have been individually decorated with antiques and offer all the modern comfort that the discerning traveller expects. In the elegant Salon along the canal, guests can relax by the open fire, in comfortable sofas while going through the available art books and international magazines, and enjoying a drink which is served round the clock. It is recommended to enjoy the typical English “Afternoon Tea” or an aperitif either on the waterfront terrace or in the cozy and enchanted breakfast room.

Only downpoint : No vegan options for the breakfast. But everything was perfect otherwise and the service is on point. They even offered us a glass of champagne as we came for our birthday. The situation of the hotel is also perfect, you are at 200m from the belfort. It's really ideal. And the parking is 200m away from the hotel.

Beautiful hotel with lovely staff and perfect location. Our little dog was treated like royalty, in room dining was very nicely done and made us have a real holiday feeling during these difficult time. We can not wait to go back and get pampered again. Highly recommended.

We had great weekend stay at the Hotel de Orangerie, Covid restrictions meant that we had to eat in our room but the hotel organised everything perfectly - taking our order in advance, setting up a nice table in the room and serving the dinner one dish at a time. The hotel itself has bundles of character emphasised by lots and lot of Cole & Son wallpaper! But the big selling point is the location, slap bang in the centre of the city. We particularly appreciated it as we pretty much had Bruges to ourselves. It is certainly a difficult time for tourist industry but for domestic visitors it is an opportunity to visit the city without the coachloads of tourists. We'll be back to try the afternoon tea! p.s. it's a pleasant 15-20 min walk to the train station (where you can also leave your car in the very reasonablely priced car park).

We celebrated the birthday of my husband. The hotel has a super location in the Center of Bruges, with view on the canal. The hotel is very beautiful, with a house-room feeling, especially now that Corona obliged to eat in our room. The birthday diner was very tasty, a real treat and a nice change now that the restaurants are closed. Everything was super, also the friendly help of the staff. Thx for this relaxing staycation and nice getaway!

We celebrated our wedding at Hotel de Orangerie and are so glad that we did. The management and staff ensured that every moment of our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived we had a wonderful time and we are so looking forward to returning.

Room Tip: All of the rooms I saw were beautiful. The rooms with a view of the canal are truly special.
