Great boutique hotel in centre of Bruges. Position is perfect for a visit to this town. Hotel is wonderfully furnished and the rooms were perfect. Got an upgrade to canal facing room which was a real bonus.

Stayed 4 days...staff was efficient but when I asked if they could recommend any restaurants when I had just arrived they gave no specific places just a vague directions to the markt...apparently the centre of bruge... was not helpful at all. We eventually found some good restaurants really close to the hotel. Overall though it was a pleasant stay.

A really lovely hotel. The location is fantastic, with beautiful buildings and a canal as your neighbours, and just a short walk to the market square. Cosy, nicely decorated rooms and a lovely lounge to admire the fire and sip a drink. Lovely breakfast with very good pastries

We had a wonderful stay the Hotel de Orangerie this weekend. The room was first class - having been newly refurbished ( The Michelangelo room) and the service was marvelous. The restaurant for breakfast is stunning as is the lounge with its real fire and sofas. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

We were recommended this hotel by a colleague of mine for our stay during our honeymoon. I made our reservation through booking.com for a standard room and noted we would be on our honeymoon during our stay. Upon arrival, we had a rental car and since the hotel had listed they had private parking available, we had to loop 3-4...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your time to share this review through TripAdvisor. You've booked a comfort room. When we give an upgrade to our guest, it's always the next category. We serve breakfast and afternoon tea in the hotel with scones, sandwiches, pastries and we have room service 24/24... Regarding the room, it's a pitty that we couldn't fix...

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff (particularly the front desk), in a perfect location. It helps if you can get a discount on the room rate though, not sure it would stand in such good favour had I paid the full list price for the room.

Wonderful "hygge" stay in very pleasant and central hotel. Cannot wait to come back in summer and enjoy the garden on the canal. Close to museums, church of our lady, belfry, fish market. Gin selection in bar is excellent.

Small but very charming hotel in the city center. Cosy rooms and exceptional setting. Extremely friendly staff. The breakfast buffet offers a wide range of products from chocolate rolls to cheese and local products...and all that with a view on the water. The fake but ultra realistic open fire gives an additional warmth to the room! Fantastic stay! Thank you!

The Hotel de Orangerie is a gem! It is in a great location just off a quiet side street. We loved the decor in the hotel - grand and romantic, full of beautiful wallpapers and antiques. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff very friendly. A great experience and I would definitely recommend.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
De Orangerie Hotel is located right on the most picturesque canal of medieval Bruges in the very heart of the city centre. This small XV century monastery of the Sisters Karthuizerinnen has been converted into a wonderful "boutique hotel", furnished with exclusive fabrics (Braquenié, Pierre Frey, Bennison, Ralph Lauren), antiques, and objets d'art. All of the 20 graciously proportioned bedrooms have been individually decorated with antiques, and offer all the modern comfort that the discerning traveller expects. In the elegant lounge along the canal, guests can relax by the open fire, in comfortable sofas while going through the available art books and international magazines, and enjoying a drink which is served round the clock. The winter garden lounge with its views on the “trompe l’oeil” Italian gardens is a haven of rest and tranquillity in fresh white and light-greyish colours. It is recommended to enjoy the typical English “Afternoon Tea” or an aperitif either on the waterfront terrace or in the cozy lounge. ... more   less
