We absolutely love Bruges and were pleased to find a reasonably priced hotel in such a good location, just near the lake. The hotel is completely non-smoking and, as hardcore smokers, we weren't thrilled about this but for some people this will be a bonus. You can, however, smoke in the lovely garden - fine for us as the weather...

We arrived at Bruges after 5 days in Brussels. We were immediately checked in to a nice big room with a garden view. The room is just renovated two years ago and it is clean and pleasant with its own shower and bath. The owners of the business were very friendly and helpful and gave us wonderful suggestions regarding side-trips...

My companion and I enjoyed three nights here and could not fault the staff, the proprietors, the room, the hotel, the food or the lovely garden. This was our first trip to Bruges which we found to be a wonderful place, the old city being very compact and unspolit, and this hotel was ideally placed for easy access to possibly...

We loved Hotel Egmond, and would recommend it to anyone interested in a quiet location, beautiful garden, and charming hosts. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable, not anything very special. Though the bathroom was tiny, it was just fine for us. The charming breakfast room, afternoon tea, and the garden setting really set this one apart. While the town...

We were really looking forward to this hotel after reading all of the reviews, but left disappointed by our stay. We paid 98euro for a small double. Our room (#8) was on the first floor and at the end of a very long, dark hallway that was never lit up even at night. Just inside our door was a sign...

We spent only 2 nights at this delightful and charming hotel and I'd return in a heartbeat. We were in the ground floor room with its own entrance, pictured on their webpage, under the breakfast room photo. It has been redecorated since the photo was taken and is no longer a little garish ! It was perfect as we had a lot of luggage...

Warm and friendly. Extremely helpful. Interesting conversations. Great recommendations with restaurants and museums. Lavish breakfast, wonderful afternoon tea. I took ill and they provided medication and advise. The view and setting was magnificent. Service was as good as a Relais and Chateaux without the price tag. I had a crisis at work. They helped with the transatlantic calls. And when...

My wife, daughter and I stayed with family at the Aramis Flats of Hotel Egmond. While there, my wife and daughter fell ill and much to our surprise and relief the owners of the hotel offer the services of their private physician. The doctor made several house calls to our suite (something unheard of in the States), which we are...

We stayed two nights in Room 10 which appeared to be part of the house's original attic. The carpeting was worn and dirty; the room smelled musty; furniture was old and nothing like furniture found in other rooms; and the bathroom was a small molded unit more commonly seen in recreational vehicles. The parents of the owner were helping out...

My wife and I stayed at the Aramis flats associated with the Hotel Egmond in Brugge (or Bruges in French and English). The rooms were clean and modern in decor, and the kitchenettes enabled us to prepare some meals after shopping at local convenience stores. However, with an excellent "continental" breakfast including waffles, cold cuts, and various beverages, as well...
