Stayed for one night in Sept 2013. Room was comfortable and quiet location above canal. The breakfast was exceptional and plentiful. Only issue we had was that no Tea/Coffee making facilities were available.

A short train ride from Brussels (8€ taxi ride from the station for 2, with 3 large cases). Loved every aspect of the hotel (yes, there are creaky stairs and no lift and you actually have to get in the bath) which was totally charming, comfortable and QUIET. The quiet was remarkable - we slept with the windows open, lovely...

Beautiful classic hotel in Bruges. Walking distance to anything you want to see in old Bruges. Our room was on the top floor had a beautiful view that overlooked the street and canal. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. The wife was able to borrow a hair dryer from the front desk easily. Wifi was slightly spotty up on...

We came here for our wedding anniversary & really enjoyed the fact that it is only 5 minutes away from bars and restaurants but is lovely and quiet. Friendly staff, stylish interior and a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was a little disappointing as I would have liked the option of some fruit plus only having a bath with a shower head...

The hotel was a bit of a splurge during our European vacation ... a bit hard to find with a mal-functioning GPS, but the town folk were very helpful. Our room on the second floor overlooked the canal, so the lack of an elevator was a bit of a problem ... but the character of the building should not be...

We loved the proportions of the room and the staff was terrific. The hotel itself was a marvelous period property (beware if you have a large amount of luggage, did not see an elevator). Our room was just off the lobby, and overlooked the canal. The breakfast is extremely generous, fresh and well stocked. The hotel location was just a...

Had the pleasure of staying in this hotel last week. Quite difficult to find but well worth the hunt. Traditional hotel packed full of character. Was a bit disappointed to find the hotel car park full but plenty of street parking available. Reception was excellent and although no restaurant on site for evening meals, staff were full of good advice...

My husband and I loved our 2 night stay here. We paid extra for a canal view and we loved it. The receptionist we had - I am so sad we didn't get or remember his name but he was EXCELLENT. A tall gentleman in his 30s/early40s? - very sweet, helpful and out going - he made our stay amazing...

A two night stay in lovely Bruges at this hotel was fab, the hotel was well located once you got your bearings! The hotel is very old so you can't expect aircon but my room was very spacious with a lovely Bath! Breakfast was generous and a good range! I wouldn't say I was blown away by the hotel and...

This attractive understated small canal side hotel is a little out of the centre and a long walk from the station, but this is an advantage as the area is quiet. Inside the hotel it is less attractive with the reception area, small bar, and the bedroom needing a major update. Our cramped room's only redeeming feature was the window...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Ter Brughe is situated in the centre of Bruges. The Markt, the shopping streets, all main attractions, nice restaurants and cozy bars are within walking distance. Along one of the most picturesque canals in the peaceful old quarter of St.Gillis, between the Augustine Bridge and the Tower Bridge , you will find the hotel.
