Professional and friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Nice quiet street which has a small set of bars and shops if you do not wish to walk far, with a main shopping street just a few hundred yards away. The train station and central market square are easily walk-able. We were entertained by Paul the friendly and personable bar man! The... More

It is a fab hotel. The breakfast is excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We are now in the bar having mulled wine, which is so moreish. The hotel is very central for everything. The restaurants locally are lovely and I can't wait to come back

Spent 2 nights there. Large, clean rooms, great location and service. Delicious breakfasts! This is a nice hotel. It was reasonably priced, the room was pleasant, the internet worked well and breakfast was delicious.

Bruges is a lovely place. We've stayed with Hotel Academie for 3 nights and it was fabulous. First of all, the staff were friendly as possible. We had a lovely time at the bar, and had nice conversations with the young guy (he is doing an internship). What a lovely guy. There were many choices at breakfast and anything in... More

If you're looking for a base for a few days in the beautiful town (city?) of Brugge then you won't get better value than this. Great rooms, bar and reception area and the breakfast choice was probably the best we've come across. Would come back again without any hesitation and would highly recommend

I arrived on Sunday 20th November, travelling as part of a tour group with Riviera Travel. Check in was swift and the staff were very nice. We dropped our bags at our hotel and went for dinner as it was just before 7pm when we arrived. After going to bed I was woken but wasn't quite sure why, I had... More

Hotel ideally placed to visit Brugge. Christmas market very disappointing but shops interesting. Good restaurants close to hotel. Has a car park you can book which is great as packing difficult in Brugge.

Booked to visit the Christmas markets. Hotel 10 mins from train station and 10 mins into town and markets. Hotel - lovely clean spacious bedrooms. Good bar . Didn't have breakfast, because we prefer to get up and eat when we are ready. Bruges itself is the most fantastic place. So much to see and do. Canals and parks. Great... More

I feel a bit mean giving 3 stars but that's in line with what I think the hotel should be rated. It's not, in my opinion a 4 star. I can't question the receptionists both were helpful and charming. A nice touch was presenting my daughter with a stuffed bunny as a welcome gift!...hence the feeling mean but the decoration... More
