The hotel was nice and quiet. Perfect halt for the night. The receptionist who welcomed us was very friendly and helpful. However he did forget to mention that breakfast was not included in the price of the booking. It ended up being a bit of a surprise when it came to paying the bill. It would have been fine if... Having never visited Bruges - spelt Brugge in Flemish, my wife and I having seen pictures of this City and indeed the Hotel, we decided to book for 3 nights. The Hotel is situated North of the Market Square which is 10 minutes walk away. The Hotel staff were very friendly, and there is even a Happy Hour with Beers... More

I was visiting a friend in the Netherlands, and she suggested a night in Bruges since I had never been. She checked Hotel Tonight and found a good deal on Jacobs Hotel. The exterior is charming, as is the lobby, and we found onstreet parking (she has an EU plate on her car and that made things easier) right in... More

Stopped over for one night on our way back to the ferry. We were treating ourselves to a night in a hotel, I wish I'd saved the money! We had booked a double room on the Internet, and were given a twin. When I complained the manager said he didn't know what we had booked (!) so he moved us... More

Positive: good location, just 10min walk from the city centre, stable and fast internet. Negative: small rooms, very soft and cheap foam mattress with the risk to fall out of the bed, scruffy shower curtain, almost no water pressure on the third floor, shampoo only in, difficult to open, plastic bags, most TV-channels blocked, breakfast in three, pre-set shifts, with... Situated in a quite location within the old city. Very helpful staff and overall the Hotel was clean, tidy and everything in good working order. My only gripe is I felt the breakfast was a bit on the budget side. Lots to choose from in a continental style, but I've had better quality. That said the Hotel was good value... More

Location was perfect, the receptionists were lovely and so helpful. Bit of a shame about the room, could of done with a proper clean especially the bathroom. The towel rail and toliet roll holder had a very thick layer of dust of them, yuck. We paid for a comfort double and had 2 single beds together, which is not a... More

They tried to charge us for a superior double room but only gave us a standard double. Have had many argumentative and sarcastic emails from the owner who didn't actually address our complaint! Would not recommend or stay at this hotel again which is a real shame as the staff are lovely and the location is good. (shame about the... More
