Simply brilliant , was so glad we decided to stay here, nice spot on the canal .Enjoyed a really lovely dinner.. oven baked cod .. delicious . Thought it was really nice to give us a free appetizer of broccoli soup and game pate while we were waiting on the starters. Barman was really friendly and helpfull and made us... More

Unique! Windows opened onto the canal, lots of fresh air! Wonderful host and bartender who gave us lots of info. Walking distane thru the park and downtown. Great place, great bar and wonderful breakfasts! Definitely a place to return to!

Very friendly and the morning breakfast is 'help yourself service' with more than enough choice of food and drink. The room was small but most importantly it was clean and comfortable. A nice change to your usual stay in hotel.

This is a quirky place to stay if you want something different. Room was clean and comfortable with a shower room. We lay in bed and watched the barges float passed our window. Breakfast was lovely. great variety of meats and breads. Will definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

Stayed here a while ago on a biking trip round Europe. Decided to stay here again a few years later on the return leg of a business trip to Holland. The service was as good as I remember it. The downside is that you can't charge drinks to your room, and the staff are reluctant to take cards. Apart from... More

........... we not only stayed there on our way to Germany but immediately booked to stay there also on our way home. Very conveniently only 90 minutes from Le Shuttle. It has been converted so sympathetically; the rooms are lovely; staff speak English; breakfast is great - with ducks just a few feet away through the window.

We had a room at the rear, it was surprisingly spacious. Comfy bed, nice en suite, and all very clean. It's quirky and fun. The staff were excellent and spoke perfect English. We also enjoyed the breakfast. It's conveniently located, with parking, and a short walk into the centre of Bruges! I would recommend it.

The De Barge Hotel has parking available and is close to the centre, which is difficult to find in Bruges. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is also a restaurant next door, although we did not visit this. The continental breakfast was excellent, with parts of an English breakfast also available.

Perfect for a relaxing break in Bruges. Very comfortable, staff very friendly & obliging with perfect English, and parking literally right outside. Easy 10 minute walk to the centre through a small park. In essence .....why wouldn't you stay here?😊

This is just the kind of place that I shall recommend to friends - I don't mean 'like' it on Facebook but actually suggest that they go there. You need to remember that it is a boat so the rooms are not going to be huge, we had one of the 'Officer's cabins' which was at the back (stern!) and... More
