We have just returned from 3 nights at this hotel. We chose this hotel as we actually live on a barge ourselves so thought it would be nice to stop on somebody else's for a change and we were not disappointed. We had booked the Captains Cabin which had plenty of room for just the two of us and our...

We absolutely loved staying in this quirky hotel, it was so different! Having read the reviews which complain about space, I can recognise that the 'cabin' rooms were snug but that is because the hotel is an actual barge not just made to be like a barge. The service was friendly and helpful and the breakfast offered a great range...

Stayed here for one night in August. Easy enough to find with a satnav, check in quick and easy. We were given a map of Bruges which came in handy when we went out exploring! Our room was at the far end which proved a bit awkward to get to at night as it was pitch black and no lighting!...

Really liked this hotel. The rooms, while not big, are quirky and really comfortable. We liked the barges going by. No too far to walk into the town and it was pleasant to walk through the park. The only complaint was that the shower really needed a good clean.

We love staying in quirky accomodation, when I found you could stay on a converted barge during a trip to Brugge, we jumped at the chance. The barge is located near to the bus station and so is an easy stroll to it. On checking in, the first thing to hit you is the all prevading cigarette smoke. We are...

In short: cheap/faulty rooms that are comfortable enough but with a great location and breakfast (remember to keep some bread to feed the ducks from your room!). We found it odd that other meals are not available during the week but it is advertised all over the ship. The staff are very weak on service and you won't be able...

We had a lovely stay at the De Barge Hotel. We knew pretty much what to expect from other reviews and we were not disappointed. Yes the rooms are quite small as you would expect on a converted barge but clean and tidy and ideal for a short break. The position is great being so close to the Station so...

We were staying in Bruges for 2 nights as part of a pre arranged trip, and when we saw our accommodation was in a barge, we thought it would be something really different, so were happy to stay there. It was quirky, our room was clean and compact, as expected on a boat/barge (life vests are supplied!), however having to...

If you're looking for something a little bit different in the beautiful city of Bruges then look no further. This quaint boat hotel is certainly unique and we had a great stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly and we even received a complimentary bottle of wine to make up for a faulty TV. A couple of small points, our...

Going to Bruges for a 3-night break, saw this hotel online and thought - staying on a boat, that's different! It lived up to expectations, comfortable bed and room, and no more costly than a 'normal' hotel. It's pretty firmly fixed to the bank, so no fears about rocking about. Great help-yourself breakfast - fresh and a lot of choice.Lovely...
