What a wonderful, wonderful B&B. The very best. Caroline is the perfect host, the rooms are spacious with everything you could ever need. The position on the canal is perfect. We had drinks on the terrace just so we could show off to all the passing boats. There are fantastic restaurants very close by. Caroline will steer you in the...

This was our second stay at Cote Canal and we enjoyed it as much as the first time. Caroline is a wonderful hostess and knows absolutely everything about her city. She gave us great recommendations and ideas. We chose the attic room which was very clean and cozy. Breakfast was delicious and included lots of choices. And it was great...

One of the best places I've ever stayed. Read the reviews, look at the photo's - then be amazed as it's even better than you expected! It's superb. Stayed in the attic room - 2 flights of stairs, but a wonderful room and great value. Caroline is an amazing host.

My wife and our two kids (20 and 23) spent three amazing days in Bruges, with Caroline and Hank as our hosts. Our only prior experience in a B and B had been an awful one, one summer in Alaska a few years back . Well, Cote Canal has not only restored my faith in the concept, but left me...

The lovely house, overlooking a canal, is historical, comfortable, and charming. Caroline, the owner, was willing and able to suggest restaurants that were interesting and catered to local people, places to buy lace and chocolates that were honest and a good value, and sights that were not on the beaten track. Because the house has landmark status, there is no...

My husband and I decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary at Côté Canal / Huyze Hertsberge due to the high praise bestowed upon Caroline’s great bed and breakfast. There are numerous reasons why one should make this Bruges B&B your temporary home. The 500 year old house is located just beyond the throngs of tourists that visit the old...

It was just a perfect place for our wedding aniversary! We were coming from London and stayed for two nights in the suite le Charpente which was so lovely and romantic-the view over the garden and canal, the gorgeous beams... The breakfast was very good, and the location is great, close to everything! The only thing we regret is the fact that we...

Having read the reviews we booked a night at the Cote Canal, fully expecting to be slightly disappointed - nothing could be that good. How wrong could we be. Carolyn and Hank are excellent hosts, the house is beautiful, breakfast was plentiful. Carolyn is extremely knowledgeable about Bruges and has a plentiful supply of maps that she will draw over...

From the moment we arrived, the Cote Canal/Huyze Hertsberge exceeded our expectations. Caroline is the most amazing hostess - she is so knowledgeable about this beautiful city and it's history. The house is beautifully painted and furnished. The rooms are large, immaculate, comfortable, with elegant touches. We stayed three nights and could have stayed a week longer. My husband and...
