We book the hotel for one night on Saturday. The hotel is different, a boat, clean but on the top it was a bar. We had no issue with noise from the bar. But we came back at 23.30 from dinner. But the isolation between rooms was not ok. We were awake as from 6 because somebody was talking a...

Management response:

Ahoi Emerita, thanks for your feedback. As the owner of Bar Bootel Ahoi and the one who served you breakfast, I am sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied. If a guest takes a shower at 6 a.m. and this woke you up, I am sorry about that. No complaints were made or questions asked during breakfast about...

The rooms are rather tiny but this place has some good vibes. It was very quiet when we were there, with just few other guests. We chatted with the service, got some good beers recommended as a late night drink and a tasty breakfast on the next morning. I would come back here.

Rooms very tiny. A big private party in the bar so too much noise. Sound very high till 5am. the owner was not friendly. He did want to serve us a breakfast. His bar was too much dirty after this party. The wifi didn 't work...

I wanted to try something different and a boat-hotel sounded fun enough. The rooms are under the deck of the boat, which means your window is just above the water level, for a fun view on the river. Unfortunately, it also means you hear the noise from the bar above. The boat is "locked" to the bank of the river,...

Comfortable night in the basic room. I got there a tad early (1.30) but beware the place doesn't open until 3 o'clock. Room was basic I paid for the standard room which was comfy and spacious just for me. Great wifi signal so I could stream when back in the room my Netflix too. Location wise perfect for both sides...

Stayed here at 2 different times on a bike trip through Belgium. The service was really good for breakfast and the chef/server is super nice. It wasn't a great night's sleep as the boat shifts when people are getting on/off it and this kind of shook my bed. Also was a bit noisy even after 10pm. There isn't a door...

Great location within easy walking distance of the great local bars, town square and restaurants. It's a converted barge which is fun, your room looks out at river level at their boats and ducks. But there are some drawbacks. The rooms are clean, modern, but slightly too small. So for example, if you use the suitcase rest you can't walk...

Stopped off here on the way to Holland. The converted barge was clean and very comfortable The young Chaps running the bar and Hotel were extremely helpful and always cheerful. Breakfast was excellent. One small criticism is that there was only one single pillow for two people, fortunately we had some spares. Certainly would stay again.

We stayed here for one night en route to the ferry at Dunkerque. Can't praise it highly enough. It's a converted barge, set in a canal basin in the centre of town. The rooms are small, but beautifully done. The people are beautiful and can't be helpful enough. Great beer in the evening, breakfast on deck in the morning...... If...
