It is called Hotel Kookaburra now. No one at reception before 3 pm. We believe the hotel was recently renovated. With (probably) limited budget they made creative choices. We liked the breakfastroom with view at the rooftops of Ypres. The parking facility is 10 Euro per day, it is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Perfect location.

Dont get there before 3, thats check in apparently and before that is out. Also have exact change or use plastic. Staff appeared friendly but were not helpful at the same time. The hotel seems to be themed in a basic military style which makes it appear very basic and gloomy even though the rooms had most mod cons. Iahd...

- Reception The people were extremely friendly and welcoming. They do this the proper way. - Breakfast The breakfast was good (see pic). All expected was there. - Room We loved the style. There is a mixed old (military) element in the hotel styling, which totally compensates for the oder state of some other things. - Bathroom The bathroom was...

Great location for shopping, Menin Gate, square, food. Good room, friendly staff when checking in, although found the guy who checked us out to be quite arrogant. It's a one way street, so you need to be clear where you are going and there is no parking on site. You can park in the street to check in, and then...

I stayed at this hotel on 24/25 September this year. It is strange layout and not easy to find. However the rooms are quirky and fairly basic but you don't spend much time in them. Only negative for the room was hand held shower over the bath. Not good when your 6ft 7inches tall. The manager Chris was very friendly...

We returned last weekend from a 2 night stay at what I could only describe as a shambolic, disorganised, dirty Hotel! Our Room 224 was infested with Bed Bugs! It wasn't until the day of our departure that we noticed the bites and the worst thing of all is that they multiply because the histamine that the bugs deliver into...

Stayed 2 nights at end of September 2016. I hadn't read any reviews or checked out photos....I should have. The Army theme was cheap and an excuse to furnish the rooms sparsely. The two single beds (of different heights), squashed together under a thin mattress, came apart a number of times during the night. The overall impression of the room...

If you have booked the Hotel O but can't find it look out for the Hotel Kookaburra sign 20 metres off the grote markt on the right hand side of D'Hondstraat. Great value for a boutique hotel. Dining room and a number of bedrooms have recently been refurbished. My bedroom was a refurbished one and although on the dark side...

We arrived in Ieper at Hotel Regina which we had booked. The manager said our room wasn't ready for two hours. Ever so friendly. I'll look after your bags, On our return he had disappeared. Confusion at reception. Eventually we were told the room was TOO SMALL!We were sent to Hotel Now called Hotel Kookaburra. An army barracks not our...

When I arrived I was told that the only room they had was flooded and could not be used. I stupidly clicked the pay pal button when I booked so the room was pre paid. They said they would get me into another Hotel. They then told me the name of the hotel and pointed down a street. I arrived...
