This was a family road trip with a 2-year-old toddler. We needed a quiet and safe place to spend one night. The staff was very nice and made sure we got a quiet room with a kitchenette, so we were able to prepare food for our little one. Overall, very clean and pleasant stay.

My husband and I spent one night there. There was no road noise and you couldn't hear between the walls. We appreciated the air conditioning, microwave and mini-fridge. The room was spotless and the owners were friendly. The price was reasonable. The grocery store is close by, as well as a neighborhood to have a morning walk. We would stay there again if we visit the area.

Stayed a couple of nights in room #6 while visiting Bon Echo. Hostess was very welcoming and got checked in immediately. The building and furnishings are a bit dated, but did the trick. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size, but there is a lack of counter space. There is also no storage for luggage or clothing. The air conditioner is quite old and loud. The grounds are well maintained and close to the local shops.

We have been coming to Pine Grove Motel for years now. Its simply perfect location, ... close to Bon Echo park and decent drive to Sandbanks park as well. We always take a room with kitchenette which is very handy if your stay is longer than few nights. Rooms are clean and cozy. Its a family run business, owners are lovely and kind always accommodating and helpful. Place is close to local store, there is also a nice bbq space if you wish to prep your food outdoors. This place checks all boxes and more !:) as its also on top of that very affordable. Highly recommend:)

This motel met all our expectations! We were visiting Bon Echo for the day so perfect location and good price. It was very clean and had everything we needed; little kitchenette, great shower, comfy beds and a nice picnic table area to eat outside. Nice and quiet, lovely family-run motel. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again!

Thanks so much Marina and Nikita (the owners) for being so awesome.

Would really highly recommend this motel. The owners are amazing and so helpful. They went out of their way to help us out.

Beautiful part of Ontario but close to stores like beer store, LCBO, food stores and more. Very easy to find and close to great nature and landscapes. Perfect place to stay if you're looking for quiet yet close to amenities.

Thanks both! Merry Christmas

We were planning to camp in Bon Echo park, but the weather was too nasty to sleep outside with our two year old. After passing by several shuttered or abandoned-looking places we almost gave up hope on finding a dry place to sleep when the sign for this motel appeared out of nowhere. At this point we would have settled for just about anything, but the room was far beyond our expectations. The lady who met as at midnight had a pleasant smile, and was very helpful and welcoming. The price was very reasonable, the room was small and amenities basic, but very clean and new and had some stuff that you wouldn't necessarily expect in a small no-frills roadside motel in a rural area: small fridge, microwave, TV, mugs, tea, very pleasant 70's style vintage decor, and wireless internet. The shower was a small box-type set-up, but had plenty of hot water. All in all, excellent value for the price! If you're traveling to Bon Echo park off-season or just don't feel like camping this is the place to stay. As an added bonus, the place was right across from the Beer Store and when we woke up in the morning we found a farmer's stand right outside selling local produce and homemade jams.

We, company of friends, were on a trip around the area and stayed in this hotel one night, occupying couple of rooms, including one unit located in a trailer-like building that stood far away from the rest of the other units. This unit was well equiped but full of threatening notes- fine $15 for this and $10 for that. When we filled out of our minivan at night (but before 11 pm) we were met by lady owner who hissed at us that we are too loud and do not let HER sleeping. Some of us assembled in the biggest unit that was as I mentioned in a remore location but a bit closer to the place where this lady slept. So while we were sitting in our unit and having a conversation occasionally interrupted by loughing, this lady suddenly showed up at the door and THREATENED us in most unpleasant tone with her 'second and last warning' that we are to be evicted if we not keep our voices real low.
I admit it was after 11pm, but we were far away from other guests, and the we were the guests too. I stayed in dozen places, very often hearing neighbours right next door, or the bar across the street with loud music. I have never ever heard that owner or personnel talked to me or anybody else around in such a tone. If it was not in the remote place we would have left this place right away.
I suggest looking some place else if you are used to be treated as a human.
If you decide to stay there just keep you mouth shut and follow all the ridiculous rules you find on various signs in your room. Good luck!

Response from PineGroveMotel, Owner at Pine Grove Motel
Responded Oct 9, 2011
ALL our guests have the right to enjoy their stay at our motel...This includes being able to get a good night's sleep...which is hard to do with loud noises...car doors slamming...and a general commotion in our parking lot. When the reviewer states that the loud noises were after 11 p.m.,... it was closer to 1 a.m. What happens at other motels across from bars etc. is not our concern. We need to sleep too..... As for the few small signs in the room...they are for our guests' information as well as their safety.
