The room was comfortable and the conditions were acceptable for a 3 star hotel... but the restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. The soup was magnificent, the cod fish was ok but the Siricaia desert was the best one I've ever had. A 5 star restaurant with great food and service. Recommended!

We had lunch here after visiting the Adega Mayor on a weekend of grape picking and wine tasting. The 4 course lunch was part of the wine tasting deal, and although we were surprised to be directed to a 3 star hotel after being at the incredible stunning winery, the service and food were great. The staff were so attentive...

I stayed for one night only and I found it a bit pricy for a 3 star hotel, but the facilities are good and the staff is extremely nice and very helpful. I didn't get the chance to try it, but the hotel also had a very nice swimming pool.

Didn't stay in this hotel but had dinner here as we are staying at a nearby campsite. The restaurant is open from 7 30pm to 10 pm and is open to non residents. The menu was in Portugeuse but the waitress translated it for us. She was also very helpful giving us leaflets about the local area. We had a...

I have never received such bad customer service, we spoke to the staff one morning because our air con was broken, nothing else was said to us and that evening it was still broken so we slept with the window open. Unfortunately some of the other guests in the hotel decided to have a party that night. When we rang...

We stayed at this hotel so that we could be close to the Capela dos Ossos - a must-see on our recent vacation to Portugal. Walking into the lobby, I was shocked to see how nice it looked and how busy it was with guests chatting in nearby lounge chairs. Checkin was beyond easy - they didn't have me fill...

A friend and I stopped here for one night whilst on a motorcycle tour down to Andalucia. The hotel is centrally located, and has a car park opposite to leave the bikes. The staff were friendly, courteous and spoke a little English (which helped a lot) The room was spotlessly clean and a good size and the air-con was superb...

What I am about to write does not reflect on this hotel as we did not stay there. I write this to advise travellers to be wary of possible muggings around the castle. We visited this town in mid October 2012 and enjoyed coffee in a hotel oposite an interesting church. We walked up to the castle at midday and...
