My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights and the experience was great. Nice, big bedroom with a huge king-size bed and open view bath tub and double shower. The hall, the garden, the restaurant are spacious and very well designed, in a mix between modern and ancient decor. Great breakfast as well and super kind staff. The spa unfortunately was not completely accessible due to Covid but we enjoyed a couple of hours in the indoor pool. The hotel is very close to the city center, anyway everything is reachable easily since the city of Evora is pretty small. We will surely go back there!
We were two nights in this hotel and all of the restaurants and places were closed in the city due to Covid + low season effect. We were obliged to eat our 3 meals in the hotel and NOTHING elsewhere and my husband ate a bad piece of meat in the restaurant of the hotel. He was sick for 3 days and was diagnosed by a doctor as having been food poisoned. We asked that the meal were reimbursed to us and it was immediately refused by the management of the hotel. If you were to choose a hotel in Evora, I would, for sure, advise against this hotel if you don’t want to be badly sick.
Extremely well located hotel, within walking distance of Évora's city centre and main attractions. Very well designed infrastructure, although some materials feel cheap (ex. fake stone on some common areas). But the worse is the service and maintenance. 1. Spider cobwebs on the room terrace; 2. Ripped shades on the room and stained blinds on the window separating the tub from the room; 3. Noise from the corridors and halls from the cleaning team, using the vacuum cleaner in the vacant rooms with the doors opened ajar since 9:00 am, not the nicest wake-up call....; 4. We left the room before 10 am and went back after lunch past 15:00, but the room was not serviced and then we get a phone call at about 18:00 from the reception to check whether we wanted the room cleaned since we have allegedly stayed in during all day with a non disturb sign at the door (!!!!); 5. Less than 1 m distancing between tables at breakfast in total disrespect for the current laws for mitigation of the COVID-19 outbreak; 6. Loose tiles and other broken parts on the floor of the swimming pools; 7. We forgot a pair of socks on the room bathroom, but according to the hotel nothing unusual was reported by the room servicing team (probably the same people who didn't service our room); 8. First night at the bar and ask for a quite expensive single malt whiskey which is served with 3-4 huge ice rocks, totally ruining the experience; 9. Second night at the bar, ask for single malt whiskey and stress I do not want ice, the nice barmen explains the barmaid in the previous day was not experienced but he knows it all, but I ended up to have to point to the bottle of the whiskey I wanted (from their menu of course) since he seemed never to have hear of it, although it was on the bar menu and on display at the bar....; 10. I have complained of many of these issues at the reception and was promised to have feedback form the management, none received....…
Nice and convenient hotel. Altough Covid-19 doesn’t make things easy, we felt very relaxed and safe. Clean and cosy rooms and the whole city within walking distance. We tried the restaurant and this is definitely worth the visit! The premium wine selection with the menu was amazing for a very reasonable price
