Great receptionists always wearing a beautiful smile and willing to help where they can. The rooms are quite OK but without the fan running you can hear the talk from other rooms or front desk. The winter rate of 30E is adequate but certainly would never pay 100E for prime time. The restaurant is attached and appeared good but never found time to eat there. Can't say enough good about the staff!!
The hotel is a short drive away from the city. The parking (so we where told) is not a problem but there was some big Fest, so the options where limited. The room was nice AC, small terrace.. Breakfast was as you can aspect in such a hotel: juice, eggs, some salami, coffee... The staff were helpful and pleasant on our arrival. Give as a map of the city and information about festival in the city. We didn't use the pool because of the whether.
There are some hotels that the minute you get to reception you just know you are going to be disappointed by your stay and this was one of them. Lured in by the alluring pictures of sparkling pool and reviews we booked this hotel. Arriving on the hottest day of may so far we discovered the pool was closed.Nowhere on the booking companies site or the hotels site is there any indication of the pool being open or closed for any particular time.Never mind though. However the 4 hours of constant pool filtration system noise akin to concorde taking off was a bit of a slap in the face and prevented us using the rooms balcony or even opening the door. The booking site page said breakfast included but turns out it wasnt and the family with screaming kids was put in the room next to us.The mattress was so thin you could feel the springs and there was a plastic/rubber sheet that was hot and uncomfortable. Not sure how many incontinent customers they get they need a hospital grade rubber undersheet but was not a good nights sleep. finally, we noticed the fuse box in the room had a broken cover that had been shoddily repaired and wondered why.Well the volume of buzzing and humming coming from it during the night was incredible and explains the frustrations of previous occupants no doubt whacking it in a futile attempt to silence it. All in all glad to leave in the morning.…
The hotel isn't within walking distance to the walled city but is a short drive away, and in March we had no problem parking in the parking lots beside the city walls. There is a grocery store closeby but not much else -- you need to drive to go to a restaurant. I found the room to be 'tired' - needing to be somewhat updated. The bathroom could use new tiling. The beds were "OK". We had breakfast on the first morning of our 3 day stay but were disappointed in the coffee and hot options so only used it once. The staff were helpful and pleasant. We booked this hotel mostly based on pricing, which we found good for the area but I'm not sure that we'd stay here again.
We stayed here for two days in January '18. It is ideally located for exploring the lovely Evora which lives up to its reputation as an interesting and worthy UNESCO site. The hotel staff were simply lovely so often can be the case in Portugal. The room was, not least for the costs of 33 EUR per room per night, very good indeed with a lovely little terrace outside with table and chair to enjoy the open air. The outside swimming pool (whilst clearly not viable now) is lovely and a summer treat I would think. The linen and towels are changed each day and everywhere is very clean. One small observation is that the television is too small not least for the size of the wall! It was a bit like having an iPad on the wall. But who needs TV anyway? Breakfast was a very reasonable EUR 5 and there was hot and cold options with a good variety and very good coffee. We would most certainly return and we congratulate the staff on their manner and their helpfulness. …
