Reviewed as a one out of five. The five was for the breakfast. The four was for the help in getting to the parking area which was a monumental nightmare for drivers. the 3 was for getting a room to sleep in which was somewhat clean and barely comfortable, the two was for the people partying all night long on a Friday night in the street and keeping us up all night long. the one was for the ceiling material flakes falling on our beds, heads all night long. We could not leave fast enough.
Riviera hotel is centrally located in Evora. For a decent night's sleep we suggest you book a standard room in the back.Or chose the parador nearby. The breakfast was adequate at best. Beds firm. On the plus side, wifi was strong.
The hotel is right in the center of Évora just a few minutes from the main monuments. The place is quiet. The room was spacious, could be better maintained, but the bathroom was renovated. The air conditioner was a bit noisy. The internet in the room had a weak signal. Good breakfast.
It is a small and lovely hotel in the very heart of the old town. The internal of the hotel is historical and therefore sometimes few things are not working as expected but besides this tiny issue, it offers a quality sleep despite being so centrally located. The service is very helpful and attentive, breakfast was lovely.
We stayed at the Hotel Riviera for two nights, the location is just down the street from the Roman Temple. Had a very difficult finding the hotel, the GPS did not work well) we ended up getting lost and parking the car next to the Roman Temple. I saw a small sign and went on foot to find hotel while my hubby stayed with the car. I took a photo to show the front desk where we parked. We were lucky, we parked there for our whole two date in Evora (no charge!), we arrived mid day Friday and left on Monday am which may account for our good luck with parking. Hotel was very pretty with all the tile, room was clean and bright. Nice shower/tub with hot water. The one issue I has with the room was the mattress, it was not good. Every time one of us turned the bed was very loud! It felt like a rubber mattress. Breakfast room is very pretty, with a nice continental breakfast. Pretty hotel, great location but needs mattress updates. This hotel does not have an elevator, but do have luggage service. …
