Right in the middle of the town, tastefully decorated, gives a feeling of authenticity - with ll the amenities modern enough to be comfortable. Simple style - fits to the atmosphere of Marvao. Good breakfast. Heartily recommend.. .
Marvao is already a gem, and this hotel is the perfect place to be accomodated. Warm welcome by the host, comfortable and charming room with all services needed. Everything within 5-10 min walk, parking right in the corner. Breakfast was a real surprise with extras like soy milk. Thanks for everything, we really hope to come back one day!
We only had one night here, but found everything to be perfect. Our double room was immaculately clean, as was the bathroom. Check in was very easy with Joao, as was the directions to the accommodation (emails sent with directions). The streets are very narrow as is all historical towns, Parking was easy too. This is a beautiful building and I would highly recommend for a stay.
We stayed here for three nights. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The B&B itself is a real joy. We had a big and clean room, with great shower facilities. There's also a living room with a fireplace, which was really useful since it was really cold for the time of the year. It was really nice to read and relax after walking during the day. Breakfast was great as well. Location is superb, in the center of the small hill top village of Marvão. The owners also have the village shop, so if you need anything you can get it there. Breakfast was tasty with some local pastries to choose from. I'd really recommend both Marvão and the Estalagem.
We made our first visit to Marvao on the 8 January we were booked into the Estalagem de Marvao. Prior to our arrival the hotel sent us a very helpful email covering a range of useful items including exactly how to get to the hotel once you are inside the walls of the village. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very good. There is an excellent restaurant two minutes walk from the hotel. The fortified village is on the top of a very high hill and is worth exploring. The views from the castle are outstanding. We will be returning on a future visit.
