We were thrilled with our sea view room. It was clean, modern and the glass walls in which the bathroom was situated helped make the room large and airy. The view from our private balcony was stunning and we enjoyed leaving the patio door open just to listen to the sea.
House keeping was excellent, we expected to have the bedding and towels changed on day two but we had three lots of clean towels over our four night stay. The room and bathroom were cleaned daily. We feel a kettle would have been the perfect touch. All the staff were friendly and professional.
Breakfast was tasty and filling. Hot food included eggs, bacon, tomato and courgette. Cereals, pastries, fruit and ham and cheeses with a large choice of fruit juices which were delicious and we enjoyed eating outside with the little birds.
It was a quick 10mins walk to the Old Town and a 15mins ride on the road train to the Strip in New Town.
It's a shame the cafe isn't open longer as it would have been nice to see the sun going down with a very reasonably priced beer!
That being said, The Waterfront cocktail bar is next door with a bargain of 241 on any cocktails all day, so we enjoyed the sunset from there.
There is also a delicious Italian restaurant nest to the bar.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back next year 🙂

We had a sea view room on the beach, which was great. The room was fine, but the shower could use some deep cleaning. There is free parking in a nearby secure area (between this hotel and their other property) - this other property has the pool and restaurant but you can still use. Service at the front desk was great. Free breakfast included in your rate onsite at the beach hotel - lots of choices and they provided gluten free bread on request. There are restaurants nearby and the beach is accessible outside the hotel doors.

After several years of absence, it was a good surprise, the facilities have been improved and have a modern look.
Some repairs
The pool was closed and undergoing repairs, customers should be informed at the time of booking.
Facilities should have chargers for electric cars or at least provide a socket for overnight charging.

Me my partner and 2 year old child have stayed here on 6 occasions in the past 15 month's each stay lasting between 1 and 2 weeks. We have stayed in the inatel Praia beach hotel rather than the other sister hotel up the hill. We have never had a bad experience with the hotel room nor with the staff. The breakfast caters to all be it vegetarians meat eaters or children and is quite tasty. The beach is amazing amd the cafe downstairs serves great burgers pizzas salads with prices not going above €7 per meal and large pints of local beers 500ml for €2.50 which is a bonus. The 1 thing I would like to advice people on who may be getting an early flight in or late flight home is check in is 4pm and checkout is 12pm so be mindful. But the hotel does provide a luggage room to leave all belongings in while you kill time.

Overall an absolutely amazing place which is extremely child friendly and safe and I would recomend spending that little bit extra to get yourself a sea view or a terrace you won't be disappointed.

Stayed at the Inatel hotel for Christmas and New Year.

Please be aware there are two Inatel Hotels, one is call the Praia Inatel Hotel,
The Praia Hotel in on the beach and the other hotel is on a hill.
If you stay in the Praria you have to walk up the hill to the other hotel every day to have your evening meals.

The evening meals consist of a meat dish eg Pigs cheeks and a fish full of bones most nights.
Often the evening meals were cold.

Christmas and New Year they never provided a Christmas Dinner just the usual meat and fish.
These two nights you could only have your evening meal between 7pm and 8:30pm,
This due to them needing the restaurant for the evening menu.
You had to pay a fee for this, the paid fee of approx per person 30 Euro for Christmas and 130 Euro per person for New Year this consisted of sandwiches snacks and deserts.

I went out to the the Harps Bar in the town for home cooked fantastic Roast dinner and apple crumble and custard for approx 70 Euro this was for all three people.
Went to the free concert on the beach, this was amazing, the old, young and children at the concert, very safe and everyone was polite.
They did a large firework display on the beach free also.
So rather the 130 euro per person at hotel, we paid 70 Euro for all three of us and had the best New Year ever.
Defiantly going back next New Year just not to the Inatel Hotel

There is a little bar next to the Praria Hotel at the beach its a great spot for the firework display, they do light lunches and two cocktails for the price of one.
The staff there were so friendly and made the night.

Please be aware lots of places, shops and restaurants don't take cards only cash, I wont comment on why????

The cleanliness of room I would question see picture. reported this to reception who emailed the Snr Director nothing was done still the same when left.

Book pool view back view awful no sun and cold.

The staff were good and polite all times.

Hotel very well located near the old town with many shops: restaurants, bars, souvenir shops....beautiful beaches, close to the Peneco elevator, archeology museum, Sainte Anne church and the Marinha port for tourists. sea excursions.
Very clean hotel and rooms, daily cleaning (thank you for their kindness and courage), correct bedding.
Dated room and bathroom (furniture, parquet floors show wear over time), soundproofing problem, you can hear everything: suitcases, footsteps, neighbors, the shower.....
We opted for full board, I paid 600 euros extra for 6 nights and for 3 people (note that drinks are payable). The breakfast is varied and good. Lunch and dinner are the same and not much choice but there is different meat and fish every day, overall it's OK for the end of October because there aren't many people. Little reminder, I'm in Portugal, I'm expecting to taste Pastel de nata and never offered at the dessert buffet, what a disappointment!!!

Just one server at the restaurant (I don't know his first name and was not on duty the last 2 days) always pleasant and attentive to us during our stay.
But the rest of the staff in the catering and reception areas lacked kindness, friendliness and respect.
A person at reception and her colleague made me wait 10 minutes because they were chatting with a local customer: total ignorance, what a shame!!!! Difficult to be understood in English as in French.

Very disappointed for a first in the south of Portugal, I will not set foot in this hotel again. I do not recommend it and will inform my usual travel agency who had doubts which I confirm.

We spent six nights here on a bed and breakfast basis. The hotel is located in a very quiet spot in large well kept grounds with a small pool mature trees, shrubs and flower beds. It is a short walk to the old town around 6 to 7 minutes , the beach is just across the road, two minutes away. We had a lovely clean and comfortable room on the top floor with a sea view. Staff were all friendly, pleasant and helpful the breakfast buffet was comprehensive and was constantly being refilled with fresh food. We recommend this pleasant hotel to anyone holidaying in Albufeira and we would certainly stay here again if visiting the Algarve.

Arrived at hotel to find that check in was not until 4pm, we arrived at 3pm after travelling from the north of Portugal leaving at 9am. It was a long journey. We were kept waiting over an hour after check in time which is very poor when you have had an arduous journey and all you want is to off load your luggage into your room and start your break. Got to the room, three of us - adults in a suite and only catered for two , two towels, two bath robes , two pairs of slippers etc yet it was painfully obvious there were three of us staying in the suite when the extra bed was made up. Overall impression not great up to now though the man on reception couldn’t have been more apologetic, but feel very very bad when room is not ready at the hotels stipulated check in time and you are waiting for nearly an hour to get access. Definitely not a great first impression.

We got a oceanfront room
Pros:
Perfect location
Can hear waves in my room and best sleep I got with that sound in the background
Decent furniture and stuff but clearly looks like a 3 star
Good breakfast and good staff
You can borrow books to read right at the beach
Free and decent breakfast but do remember a lot of pork choices for those who are vegetarians
Large bathroom

Cons
See through bath so you can’t share the room when you want to ensure privacy or your room buddy has to leave the room. Very strange as there were no privacy options provided
No in room coffee or bottled water
No iron
Poor quality AC and since our room was on lower level, I was reluctant to leave the door open. Ended up using my travel fan to stay cool
No conditioner so bring yours

My husband and I have just returned from the Inatel Albufeira Hotel. We had a wonderful week. Reception staff were very welcoming. Our room was large, very comfortable beds and everything* was pristine. The pool was absolutely lovely, set in lovely gardens and a little drinks and snack bar and most importantly, no music blaring out.At breakfast there was everything there. Fruit, yoghurts, bacon, eggs and lovely cheeses. Evening dinner was a little basic but overall we felt we had excellent value for money.
Finally, the location was spot on. 2 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes walk to the old town.

Are there tea/coffee making in the standard double room. And how much is a taxi from airport please.

Hi Mandi, unfortunately there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. I would recommend organising a private transfer from the airport. My driver confirmed that a taxi would cost around £75, but using a transfer company I arranged a private car and driver for €30 each way. I just posted a full review if you would like to take a look at that.
