Falésia Hotel

Well this hotel is simply amazing!! The staff are just incredible, their enthusiasm and friendliness are second to none and each and every one of them go way beyond anything we’ve experienced before. We had a suite which was so spacious, plenty of wardrobe/storage space and a huge comfortable bed! The bathroom had a fabulous shower, very powerful with plenty of hot water. Toiletries replenished daily. The rooms were cleaned daily with clean towels and bed linen regularly changed. Big thank you to the staff who cleaned our room.
The food was just delicious, we enjoyed every single meal, loads of choice, always well presented and most importantly for a buffet always hot. It was seriously like dining out in a top class restaurant, little touches like linen tablecloths, napkins and a table lamp make all the difference and add to the ambience, just fabulous!
Wine in the restaurant was reasonably priced and the wine waiters were always on hand to advise. On the subject of the waiters… they were just the best!!! Always happy and smiling, ultra polite and working so hard to ensure the guests have a good experience!
We enjoyed the tasting menu one evening during our stay…all I will say is do it!!! It was the most incredible experience, well worth it…I don’t want to share too much information about it as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone ❤️
The hotel is situated in a quiet location and a courtesy shuttle bus runs to the beach. There are also trips to various places organised by the hotel which are very reasonably priced.

Would I recommend this hotel? Absolutely I would!! So many guests are returning customers and I can easily see why, it ticked all the boxes for us. Massive thank you to everyone for making our holiday so special xx

Just returned from a short break at this adults only hotel we travel independently booking direct rather than with travel agents checking reviews before booking and this hotel delivers everything as advertised on the tin. If you want a quiet relaxing break away from it all then this is it. Hotel Falesia is secluded has fantastic amenities on site gardens are beautiful swimming pool is huge with bar for snacks no problems with sun beds at all always available even with hotel full. It has an indoor heated pool and spa treatment available if required. It is not near the beach nor within easy walking access unless you are Mo Farah and set off at a brisk canter. You cannot see the sea so ask for a pool view which we did and were rewarded with a free upgrade on arrival to a junior suite which is enormous. Rooms great fridge hair drier loads of wardrobe space tea and coffee free safe towels changed cleaned daily. There is a shuttle bus to the beach but doesn’t run daily and only shuttles a couple of times a day. Also hotel transport to Albufeira or Villamoura again not daily needs booking costs around 25 euros each way and goes twice. We used taxis or Uber which are both easy and v reasonable cost for visits out to both Albufeira and Villamoura. We stayed half board and the food is excellent buffet style huge choice fresh cooked by chef on site dining room and garden area for eating can get busy but you can reserve the same table in the evening if you want. Staff are friendly helpful and very efficient. In the evening there is entertainment but this really is not great basically a local singer murders English songs whilst you order drinks to dull the pain. In conclusion here you get a relaxing holiday away from it all with great staff in an excellently run hotel.. what’s not to like.
The only negatives if you can call them that then it’s not near any local entertainment just one or two bars and restaurants within walking distance one supermarket.

This place is so relaxing. There is no rush for sunbeds, there are plenty of beds for everyone, whether they are round the pool or in the immaculate gardens. No loud music playing during the day, occasionally a live singer appeared late afternoon to sing a few songs. The rooms were spotless and the bed was HUGE and comfortable, the shower was powerful and the towels changed whenever you wanted them to be changed. Pool towels could be obtained for a deposit of 20 Euros and changed whenever you wanted them to be changed. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was outstanding and very, very varied from cooked traditional full english to yoghurts and seeds, fresh fruit, waffles, pancakes, croissants, cheeses etc, absolutely amazing variety. Free bus to the beach which we didn't visit, but we used their bus to visit Albufeira and Villamoura, for the day, both worth a visit and the beaches there were lovely. While we were in Albufeira we hired a tuk tuk and driver and drove around sight seeing, up to the lighthouse which had fantastic views and around the town.Evening entertainment was a bit of a let down, generally a male singer, and they all sung the same songs. We usually just watched while we had a last drink in the hotel, after having eaten in one of the restaurants out of the hotel. Overall we had a very peaceful and relaxing holiday with good food and nice places to visit.

The Falesia Hotel is a gem: quiet and relaxing atmosphere, spacious rooms, pleasant build-quality and well-maintained. The gardens are delightful with pools, bridges, flower beds and lawned/ patio areas. We found the staff very helpful, polite, and knowledgable. The beds were comfortable, the standards of room cleaning very high. The towel art by the chamber maids is quite amazing. The restaurant is very pleasant with an airy upper area, where there are nice views out to water gardens, and a quiet lower area which we liked in the evenings as it felt a bit cosier. The food is varied, well-cooked and serving lots of vegetables. My husband who likes fish found this to be fresh and well-prepared. The meat dishes were also very nicely cooked. The only thing I would fault is the quality of the cheese and the breads. They were very ordinary when compared to the choices of food elsewhere in the restaurant, and it would be great if the hotel might consider artisanal breads, and some local cheeses perhaps? Also I didn't like the entertainment, which tended towards loud and rocky, eg. with an evening of Bruce Springsteen covers, which not many people seemed to like. Abba covers, etc etc. What about some flamenco, a bit of classical, some latino, some folk? I think the hotel could consider some quieter stuff alongside their other music offers, as most of the guests are on the older side. There is a steam room and indoor pool and also spa. We tried the steam room but it was too hot. In fact we asked the hotel if they could turn it down which they did, as it was too hot to stand up in without feeling very uncomfortable when breathing in. Once running at a lower temperature it was enjoyable to use. the local beach is absolutely gorgeous, and the hotel runs a bus to get you there and back. Kilometres of sand, beautiful cliffs. I would recommend the Falesia and we have booked immediately to go back next year! Can't wait!!!

Falesia Hotel, located somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Ideally suited for pool holidaymakers as beach within walking distance.
3*daily there is a free shuttle to Falesia beach, however the times 🫣
Surrounded by the Pine Cliffs complex with extensive gardens, there were often loud parties until the early hours of the morning due to some gatherings. There was no longer any thought of sleep and the hotel is not responsible here. It's too bad.
Rooms and service are top.
Breakfast well stocked, but every day the same arrangement, zero variety or sometimes an additional offer.
Drinks in the upper price segment.
The packed lunch for early departures is a laughingstock, only the 0.33ltr bottle saves it. Sandwich consists of 2 pure slices of toast with 1 slice of cheese in between, no spread, salad leaf etc, banana was deeply black and inedible, some ready-made particles in the form of croissant were still to be found, except the water bottle everything ended up directly in the garbage. This is definitely better with little effort.
Absolutely no recommendation for the hotel, a bad finish. Same as check-out. No question about the satisfaction of the stay, or a "thank you" "good flight" nothing, room cards taken wordlessly and turned away directly.
This gives the impression: only the paying guests are important, after that 🤔

I booked this hotel after making last minute plans to go away with my husband and my elderly mother and uncle aged 82 for what sadly will be his last sun holiday. This was the purpose of our stay. I booked the Falesia based on reviews and price- with it being so late booking for one of the busiest times of the year there were only leftovers or pay more than usual which we gladly did to stay in the Falesia hotel. Food is good with something for everyone every morning and evening on the half board basis. Beds are really comfortable and facilities are up there with 4 star hotels we have stayed in. Hotel staff are mostly very friendly and have excellent English. Here’s the but …. we were regular customers in the bar for the first half of our weeks stay - buying lunch during the day and drinks after dinner of an evening. Evening entertainment runs from 9pm until 11pm and bar closes at midnight. One of the nights my uncle joined us and began to chat and reminisce after the music stopped. His voice carries and we were sitting in the outside bar - 3 of us chatting along with a separate table of 5. No shouting, foul language, singing or banging of tables no loud laughter- just chatter. At 12.02am the bar manager and another staff member came to our table and asked if we had finished our drinks because the bar closes at 12 and they ‘had already received complaints about the noise’. I checked the time and saw it was 12.02 - as it happened we were just finished our drinks and were heading up to our rooms and quickly left. No offer of would you like to sit inside and finish - there are rooms above the bar and need to keep levels down etc - my uncle felt very singled out and embarrassed. It showed a complete lack of hospitality and poor people skills. It left a bad taste for the remainder of our stay and we took our business to the Brothers Bar five minutes down the road where the staff were more relaxed and friendly and the drinks are cheaper. We could TALK without worrying if we were too loud. We didn’t return to the hotel bar for lunch either. Frankly after this it didn’t matter how good the hotel facilities were - it cast a shadow over the remainder of the stay because it upset my elderly uncle hence the 1 star rating. We always tip at the end of a holiday and do so generously (if deserved) restaurant, reception and cleaning staff were all recognised but not the bar staff. I picked this hotel because it was away from the hen and stag scene and wanted a good nights sleep for everyone but mindful that we were still on holiday and not a silent retreat. The Falesia hotel seems to attract a certain type of uptight clientele on the silent retreat end of the spectrum and the staff appeared to pander to their demands. Fine if that’s what you’re looking for- this is something to consider for future guests. I wonder if these customers spend as much and tip well…? This is something to consider for management. This hotel should state ‘couples only’ not ‘adult only’ as more than 2 people talking at once is too loud here

This was the first time my husband and I had booked a package holiday. Usually we have city breaks and are really busy but we decided we wanted a completely relaxing holiday for a change. We chose the Falesia partly because of the brilliant reviews especially with lots of guests saying how quiet it was.

We absolutely loved our stay. We arrived at 9pm on a Sat night and so had missed dinner. However reception arranged for food to be sent up to our rooms which arrived after only 15 minutes. This set the standard for the level of service received throughout our stay. Every member of staff we came into contact with made us feel very welcome and provided excellent service. The staff are such a credit to the hotel and are the key to what makes it such a great place to stay.

We opted for half board and weren’t sure what to expect. The food was amazing with some great choices at both breakfast and dinner. We both love fish and really enjoyed having several types to try each evening. The sushi was a real highlight. We loved how the restaurant had 2 distinct sections. We had breakfast in the larger section at the back which was lighter but then had dinner in the first section which had more of a restaurant feel to it.

The pool and garden areas are spacious and it never felt crowded with plenty of sun beds. The gardens are very well maintained and we loved having a look around the well stocked kitchen garden on our first morning.

We got the impression that lots of guests were regulars and we can understand why. Once we’ve worn ourselves out with a few more city breaks I’m sure we will be back.

Thank you/obrigada to all the wonderful Falesia staff.

A very beautiful hotel on a human scale. In July/August mainly an English clientele. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. The rooms (junior suite) are very good with a balcony. Improvements should be considered in the bathroom such as a magnifying mirror. It's also a shame that once the shower mat is installed, you can no longer open or close the door. The restaurant is quite varied and for once I didn't get bored. The food is quality. A small criticism, everything is put to the taste of the English and it's a shame because we are in Portugal and not in England. Every evening a singer or group comes to offer a show. Once again it's a shame that in 10 days only 1 singer sang a few Portuguese songs. Obviously the hotel, faced with the lack of interest in Portuguese folklore, preferred to give up. There is therefore essentially only the English variety. In terms of immersion, it's a bit of a flop. You can enjoy a large and beautiful outdoor swimming pool but be careful, it's not heated so even in the heat of 25°, it's a little cool but after a few days and taking your time you'll get there lol. Another indoor swimming pool, behind the Spa, is heated to 28°, but you don't see any daylight there so it's a bit sad! That being said, I recommend this hotel where we had a very good, peaceful stay.

We have just returned from 10 nights at the Falésia Hotel, the hotel is very clean & quiet kinda in the middle of nowhere, very limited number of restaurants & a bar nearby, supermarket is a short walk away. An Uber to Albufeira is about €10.

The hotel has an awful lot of returning elderly guests who are very well aquatinted with staff, this hotel is not for young folks, unless you want total peace & quiet. Pool is strange as knee high all the way round & about 6ft in the very middle, it’s also freezing which was very refreshing.

Food is of a very good quality, breakfast was amazing with lots of choice, although dinner & breakfast could be a little warmer. One of our nights the hotel experienced a power cut, there was no water so couldn’t shower or flush the toilet & no electricity, this was around 16:00. We had no idea if dinner would go ahead & felt we should have been more informed by staff, dinner did go ahead but it was really cold, we did get our drinks free at dinner that night. The power came back on around 22:30. Thank goodness for phone torch’s.

Staff are absolutely fantastic warm, friendly and can’t do enough for you, it’s the hotels best asset. They never stop. 👏👏

Took a trip on the shuttle bus to Silves, cost was €48 return for two, it was a lovely little place but we were there far too long trip left hotel at 10:15 and pick up was 15:30 we were ready to go back after an hour. This was the same opinion of others on the bus.

The pool towels you hire for €20 deposit however they are very short & don’t cover loungers, speaking of PLEASE PLEASE stop the idiots putting towels out to reserve beds.
This happened daily from 5:30am take the towels away if nobody is there, it will soon put a stop to it. There are plenty beds but very few get the sun in the morning, unless you go to the lovely garden however there are a lot of flies.

We had a suite on the 4th floor & could see the sea in the distance, We had a lovely relaxing holiday. We would not return as just a little too far out for us.

If you like a luxury, quiet hotel then go for this one. Fantastic value for money and a nice quiet location. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and garden area, so no need to leave towels on them, which is a pet hate of mine. Room we had was the usual set up for 4 star hotels with nice views from the balcony. Breakfast was fantastic with a very good selection to cater for all. All the staff are well mannered and were also glad to help you. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean both inside and outside and comingfrom a gardening back groundi was very impressed with the garden areas. I have started to look and book this hotel for April next year which is something I haven't done in the past. Entertainment in the evening was very good although we have only tried it on 1 night so far. We took a taxi to the Old Town in Albufiera and it only cost us 12 euros each way. The hotel does put on a shuttle to the town at a cost of 10 euros each return but you are restricted to their times and for a few extra euros you can go and return when it suits you. Reception did organise the taxi for us which picked us up just outside the lobby. We will be definitely returning to this hotel.
