This is a fabulous clean hotel with super efficient, friendly staff. Pools, restaurants, and lots to do. Although a little far from the Old Town, a €5 cab ride solves that issue. Having fun.....the pools are well kept although you will need to wear a...More
It's just a five minute walk to the 'strip', a couple of kilometres of night clubs, pubs and restaurants. A fifteen minute walk the Pingo Doce Supermarket and close to bus stops. You won't need a vehicle rental. The Vila Petra's apartments are quite roomy...More
This was our second visit to Vila Petra and totally met our expectations once again. The rooms are clean and really well equipped - everything from dishwasher to iron and ironing board. They even leave washing up liquid, sponge, shopping bag and tea towels which...More
If you are looking for an out of the way, quiet vacation, this is it! Nothing seems to be happening here. The desk staff is very dismissive of guest’s needs. The reviews I read were glowing. I am not sure who wrote them. Wine is...More
In the middle of an eleven night stay at Vila Petra and just had excellent service from the front desk which went above and beyond the call of duty. Staff here have been generally very friendly and helpful. The units are clean, well maintained and...More

Sorry. I never shopped for jewellry in either Portugal or the UK. But if it is anything like buying food, wine and beer, Portugal is by far the better deal. Value for accomendation is also better there, as well.

Hello, March can be okay though colder at night i have been middle of Feb before and day time I have had the sun, u can get away with bare arms through the day but you will need a jumper at night although most places will still have their patio heaters on. With regards to where to eat that really depends on what you like, there is something for everyone but for your special day head down to the old town and towards the square pass through the square and head up towards the bridge you have a few nice ones there of which i have eaten in, Casa Da Fonte, A Ruina, Casa Del Mar, if you find these all in that area are generally lovely. Massive tip in 🇵🇹 eat where the Portuguese eat anywhere thats mobbed the food is amazing and CHEAP!! Old town can be expensive as more touristy. Local to Vila petra, IL Cappuccino, Os Compadres, Noso Italia to name a few. Ask people how to get to these places from your hotel there all 5-10 mins away, enjoy your time away I have 8weeks till I return 🙂
