As a couple (husband is a teacher) we booked Mon-Fri over half term for a getaway. Although we could not check in until nearly 4pm after a 2am start back home to catch 6am flight, we were eventually grateful for a bottle of champagne and room upgrade upon arrival as we specified we were celebrating an anniversary, so thanks. We booked a deluxe room and got upgraded to a 1 bed. However, furniture was very dated, mould around the bed and on the ceiling in places and limited utensils in the kitchen. The fridge was also set too cold and froze our food/milk on day one. The second bathroom (in the lounge?!) was out of order - we think this may of just been to reduce cleaning? Bring your own pool towels, we paid for one a shared as they were 10 euros each plus 10 deposit. Reception polite, however we were not impressed that on the final day we were not offered a take away breakfast due to early departure. When you pay for 4 nights B & B you expect them to honour this. Good location for the strip and beach, only 25 mins from Old Town walking or buses went along the main road. Breakfast was nice but it got busy, so unsure what the summer would be like as it was a very small area. Not sure we would choose this hotel again but it didnt spoil our holiday. I would advise you to think what you want from your holiday, and if it is luxury and modern accommodation then maybe rethink.

This is our 2nd year staying all inclusive at the Grand Oura View Beach Club (also stayed at the Clube Praia da Oura previously) and we had a fantastic time. I mention both hotels as they share facilities. The Oura View Beach club has the Oura/Sky bar that has entertainment, is in doors and stays open until 11pm. They also provide day time entertainment (quiz, Latin dance lessons etc) and serve sandwiches and cakes each afternoon. The pool bar has undergone renovation and opened while we were there during the day. The sister hotel is a 5 min walk down the road which is where the restaurant is. They also have the boat bar which is a decked area overlooking the beach and although it's open from late morning, it closes early evening. There is also an indoor bar but this isn't included in the all inclusive. We were allocated a ground floor room overlooking the pool and sea, which has the best views! The rooms are spotlessly clean and have a fully equipped modern kitchen area if you wish to cook basic meals. The onsite shop was being renovated, as was a large part of the poolside building but expected as it's out of season. There is a supermarket very close by, at the top of the hill before the strip (exit floor 6 of the hotel and it's a flat walk, just around the corner). You can also exit the hotel via a gate by the pool that takes you directly onto the beach. There are a few restaurants, ice cream shops etc here, Vivaldos being our favourite for a beer or glass of wine looking over the beach/sea. All of the staff are very friendly and work extremely hard. Special thanks to Pedro and Dennis at the bar and Anabel on reception who really made our stay wonderful. We had bad weather for 1 day so visited the spa for a massage, highly recommend! Overall, there a plenty of places to eat and drink, enjoy the beautiful views and relax in a little winter sun. We went on the tourist train and tuk tuk ride for sightseeing Albufeira which is worth doing too. We will definitely be back again next Feb!

Listen, if you're going here expecting 5 star, its 3 at best. That being said, the food is consistent (no one in our group was ill from it), the drink is local beer and flowing as well as cocktails. Rooms are varied - some of us had very basic 'superior' room on the ground floor (standard room for Muthu Hotel) which was fine and others had the premium room which is one of the renovated rooms on the 2nd floor. Location wise its perfect. Beach on one side and strip above (access out the 6th floor) on the other.
If there's a few friends going away or young families its perfect. If it's a couple retreat or luxury you're looking for book somewhere else.
Staff were pleasant and overall experience was good, I'm sure it can be tough dealing with demanding all-inclusive holiday makers.

Where to start. The best is the weather, the heat, spectacular. But nothing else. The worst all-inclusive I have ever known. If you are Spanish and you want to come to an all-inclusive in the Algarve, don't come to this one. The Sky bar closes at 11 at night but at 10.30 they no longer serve you anything, and if you go all-inclusive and want to have a Ballantines, for example, they ask for extra money. Miserable. The elevator to access the pool smells very bad, and is very dirty. Scarce and unsupervised parking. They charge you 20 euros for each towel but they only give you 10 back. In short, it's still fine to come here for a night, but I'm sure there are much better ones. Be careful with Booking, there are many rooms that are not what they seem.

We went for all inclusive 10 days. I normally start with the positive and there is only one . The view. If you want a 5 star experience please choose another company and do not be fooled by the good reviews. I would rated this 3 stars only . Food is repetitive and not very good quality. You have to go down the stairs in order to eat . I did not count the stairs but there are a lot. rooms are with old broken furniture and cracks in bathroom tiles. they say you can eat at the company restaurants. I will not bother as the food there is even worse. We went for a meal and there was no desert. And now the worse. They will charge you 20 euros per person for towels and 100 euros as guarantee . We were told that we will get 100 euros back on card in 7-11 day and is now 1 month after holiday and we have not received any money back. We did not damage anything. There was nearly nothing in terms of activities organised by the hotel and on rare occasions when it was there is a very small bar overcrowded . OVERRATED.

Having read reviews I was dubious about booking this hotel however we had a lovely time. On arriving late at night Carlos sorted out our room and booked our evening meals in our chosen restaurants; Carlos was extremely friendly and polite and my 5 year old Grandson was always happy to see him. I’d made the decision, having read reviews, to upgrade our room and our 1 bed apartment was clean, spacious and had a fabulous view. The food in the Aqua restaurant and the Italian were our favourite meals and I do think the food could be improved in the other restaurants to meet 5 star expectations. Having stayed in several 5 star hotels I wouldn’t class this as 5 star, a couple of reasons being no branded drinks on all inclusive, uncomfortable tied together sunbeds and no pool towels included (there is a charge for pool towels). At the end of the day you get what you pay for and we had a very pleasant stay at an extremely good price.

Awful hotel - staff unhelpful and rude at reception, sunbeds are bolted to the floor, rooms old fashioned. Pool area is dirty, buildings need a good refurb, outdoor buffet at 3.30 is uncovered and full of flies, paid ÂŁ660.00 to spend 3 nights on a squeaky uncomfortable sofa bed. We spent most of our time at the beach and paid for cocktails in the local beach bars even though we were AI - evening buffet is in a totally different hotel 10 mins away - this is not a 5 star hotel be lucky to give a 2 star - do not recommend and would never visit again - the last day the water was turned off so could not shower or flush the toilet.

The location was fantastic and the staff were very helpful however I felt obliged to write this review to tell others of things we didn’t know and wasnt advertised
We stayed in the 4 bed superior room with our own kitchenette - there was no tea towels, cleaning supplies, sponges or oven, and very few types of utensils. With only staying for a few days, there was no point in buying washing up sponges or salt/pepper/spices etc so we had to get creative
Also, the website advertises use of an outdoor pool, indoor pool and gym. The gym is €6 to use each session, and the outdoor pool is only accessible if you purchase the all inclusive package which is €50 per day per person for a minimum of 3 days. The outdoor pool was also a walk away from the hotel we stayed in as there are several blocks all surrounding the pool
There was also free WIFI but didnt work for any of us on any device
We chose this hotel for the use of the kitchenette and facilities but if we had known these restrictions we would have chose elsewhere

We have stayed here twice this year already, we stayed first time in April and we liked it so much we came back the first week in July only to be disappointed second time round! The first time we stayed we were given room number 5 which is located on the ground floor with a lovely little terrace overlooking some gardens, lovely clean and extremely spacious rooms equipped with bedroom, kitchen, living and dining area and bathroom. First time round in April the room was spotlessly clean, nice and quite on a night despite been a stones throw away from the strip. The second time we were shoved right to the old part of the hotel right up on the 6th floor, out of the door and round the back practically on to the strip and up a flight of stairs into a hideous room which you can defo tell must be part of the original hotel, very grotty and very dirty! Upon inspection we found mould on the bathroom ceiling, hairs everywhere, cracked tiles, loose fittings, blood marks on the bedroom wall, doors wouldn’t shut or lock properly, Tiny bed which was rock hard and lots of little bugs all over the floor so we went to reception immediately and asked to change rooms there was no way I was sleeping in there it was filfthy! After spending nearly an hour at reception going back and forth between different staff they finally offered us another room much to their dismay and we were put in room 018 on the ground floor again which was a lovely room, freshly done out nice and clean and modern. Why we weren’t put there in the first place Il never know. The hotel itself location wise is ideal with direct beach access and a lovely pool however the sun loungers get snapped up dead quickly there doesn’t seem to be enough for everyone. The common areas such as reception etc are kept nice and clean and on first appearance seems really lovely. The noise from the strip though on a night in the room we were in the second time was horrendous I didn’t have one good nights sleep whilst away I came home more tired than I went, some nights were relentless, screaming & shouting drunks, sirens going off, music etc which we didn’t realise would be an issue having not heard a thing on our first stay. Having seen the other part of the hotel it’s put us off from coming again unless they’re updating all of it! Ideal location for the strip and there is a lift in the hotel that takes you to floor 6 to avoid the hike up the hill to get there and short walk to the old town but cheap enough in a taxi too. We did self catering so never ate in the hotel so can’t comment on the standard of food. Enjoyed our stay once moved but didn’t feel as happy as the first time overall a decent place for families but I think we’d look elsewhere in future

We always do allinclusive, but this hotel falls short on a lot of points..we did have a good holiday and made the best of it but the hotel was very dissapointing, there was no communication with guests, nobody interacting, didn't promote any thing that might be going on which wasn't much at all, the bar in the hotel is small and can't accommodate many people, only 1 pool table. The main meals were served in the other hotel down the road, which is not ideal. Kettle in rooms, with some supplies but once used they won't replenish, food and drink not to be taken to room or you may be charged as stated on information sheet. Drinks hit and miss one day they will give you a certain juice next day they won't. Nothing is promoted, no trip info, just lack of customer service. Would definitely not say this was 5 star in any way. The shops on site were all getting refurbished, so obviously not available. I will say rooms were clean and serviceable, but very dated, broken tiles, grubby on taps, needs TLC. Shame as in nice location, beach is easily accessible although you have to pay for sunbeds... Nice area but would not recommend hotel...
