this place is basically closed from December 1st.....you can still book rooms /villas etc but the only thing open on the complex is reception and the swimming pools. Lets start with good- the superior villa we booked had comfy beds and a good shower. The cleaners left fresh towels daily even when we did not want them! It has a...

In July my Portuguese friend and I had a lovely hike to Vila Senhora da Rocha, a pretty place on the top of a rock, quite picturesque, with lovely beaches on either side, but you can get to it by road as well. We enjoyed the walk and then a swim so much more!

This is our first visit to Armacoa da Pera, but it won't be our last. Took around 1hr to get to resort from airport. If you're arriving through the day, pick up some water before you leave the airport as it would get quite hot in the transfer (will make a separate review for Greenbus). Reception. We arrived at 10pm...

We stayed about 8 days at Vila Senhora da Rocha. The village is very quite and nice. However, the services (like reception, housekeeping) were very bad. In our case, in 8 days of our stay the towels only were changed one time and the house never was cleaned neither the bed sheets were changed. Another negative point was the bad (almost...

Well what a fantastic second week in the Algarve. We stayed in a villa with an amassing sea view over the cliffs. Vila Senhora da Rocha is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed as a family. Great villa, superb views, lovely beach and friendly and helpful staff, made for a perfect week's break. Good place to...

As a family we have been staying at Vila Senhora Da Rocha for many years and believe that the setting cannot be bettered. There are 3 swimming pools, small shop and poolside restaurant. Villas and apartments are within beautiful gardens overlooking the ocean, 2 beaches, one of which is accessible down a flight of steps, various restaurants within walking distance...

Loved these apartments, typical Portuguese with all the home comforts. Loved the whole place and lovely beaches. Quite a walk into town but lovely scenic views. Lovely Portuguese bar nearby, everyone friendly and welcoming.

We were staying at the Terrace Club over the road and spotted this restaurant, and by chance it was the resort my parents stayed twenty years ago, the food we had was gorgous and we went twice. The staff were very friendly.

I visited Vila Senhora da Rocha for a week during June 2015. I found the place via Airbnb and would thoroughly recommend doing it that way. There weren't many other guests in the resort, which was great, because my girlfriend and I hate people. The on-site restaurant was great and I would recommend a seafood stew on the menu. There...

I have been visiting this complex since 1992 and am always happy to return. Lovely garden and a walk way down to the sea. To be honest the place is getting 'tired' now as it is old when compared to other places around. However it still represents good value for money!!! Don't go for the budget apartments as that is...

“rooms on lower level are bigger, two or three room units, top floor usually one to two room units. all have balconies. All rooms have tile floors so downstairs rooms hear upstairs walking and furniture moving. Also alot of renovation going on, so ask to have a room away from that. The beach is at the bottom of the cliff so not many have an ocean view.”
