    Great course!
    We played here early morning and it was excellent. The course was tough but fair, and as the heat of the day set in the greens got quick and lost some hold.....it was a great challenge for my short game. Great views and pleasant staff. I would play here again for sure.

    Great bang for the bucks!
    Pestana golf resort has good value for the money. A little bit depending on how you booked your golf travel. We were a big group of 20 and stayed for 5 days. We played all the courses and we had free golf and a villa with a pool. The courses are average to average+ but joyful.…

    Great stay!
    We arrived early December to 22 degrees heat which was a nice welcome. We stayed by the Gramacho course in a nice villa, the back doors opened to the 14th fairway so was nice to relax with a drink after the round. Villa was clean, beds could have been a bit more comfortable but…

    Waterlogged and Oerplayed
    Don’t bother with this course! It USED to be first class but sadly now third rate! Course is so overplayed that the greens look like bomb sites! They also have problem of too much MUD! Course is waterlogged!

    Can anyone tell me how many bars or places to drink they are on the resort As i read on one website theres a market square with a few bars in
    There is a bar at each golf course, both offering food during the day. But Gramacho offers an evening menu as well. Also Gramacho is bigger than Pinta, plus it has a much better view from the terrace, looking back down the 18th. The Market Square you mention, just has a Convenience Store. Other Bars and Restaurants are in Carvoeiro, 10 Euro Taxi each way. For a decent bar, I recommend Roundup Saloon, which is on the hill, just up from the Taxi Rank. Brilliant friendly atmosphere with some great live music and not over priced! Enjoy!

    Do the kitchens have kettles?
    The apartment we had was fully equipped (including kettle). It's possible they may vary but unlikely not to have a kettle.

    We are staying in August. Does anyone know if there are lots of local taxis - and possibly people carrier types?
    Yes, we were joining other friends and went out with people carrier together- I'm not sure but I think the resort gave us the number. Price was very competitive.
