We booked this resort due to the indoor heated swimming pool, however the swimming pool was a very cool temperature and did not heat up. One Jacuzzi was out of order and the other one was not very hot or bubbly. The spa on site was very good, but quite expensive. The restaurant Had a great variety of breakfast and was never too busy, however, the evening food menu was not that great. Paulo and Jose were very helpful and I would also like to mention Claudia from the kids club as she was amazing and offered fantastic activities for the children.
The tv channels need updating and there is a lovely area with frogs and turtles near the love lock bridge.
It would be great if the hotel offered a shuttle service to the nearby beach, all year round, and they had another restaurant and more variety of food. It was also quite disappointing that the pool bar was closed and it would be great to sell some snacks on site.
We ordered room service from the aroma restaurant, and the presentation was great, but most nights we ordered takeaway or visited different restaurants close by .
Conclusion, this is a great 3/4 star hotel resort, Some slight refurbishment is needed, but overall good for a short family stay and a very scenic hotel with lovely views and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend and visit here again.

On arrival we were greeted and transported to our 2 storey townhouse.
The townhouse was very clean, modern with good facilities overlooking a small pool surrounded by about 12 houses.
the only downside to the townhouse was it had an upstairs balcony which had no furniture making it unusable.
The staff at the resort were friendly enough and the food in the restaurant was good but breakfast became a bit repetitive. drinks average prices were €2.50 - Latte €2.50 bottle of water €5 beer.
The only downside at the resort was the pool area.
The pool floor was filthy, the pool guy put a pool vacuum in every day for about 30 mins but the bottom of the pool was grim, covered in rubbish and filth. i messaged reception and the pool guy came out with a net and wafted it about and disappeared again.
the patio area surrounding the pool was never swept or mopped properly throughout our 10 days. it was covered in sun cream and dirt. the pool guy came out 4 times and mopped up where the seagulls drank out of the pool but at no point did he give anywhere a thorough clean.
The sunbeds were all dirty on the fabric and legs and alot of the umbrella's were broken.
The steam room was also faulty all week and the drains kept blocking causing a terrible smell.
Overall we had a good stay, it was a nice walk into the town and the closest supermarket is about a 15 min walk away.
i hope they improve the cleanliness around the pool and we would defiantly return.

The room was really well designed, spacious, clean, great kitchen that had dishwasher, washer / dryer, freezer, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, and dinner service for 4+ people.
My only addition to the kitchen stay kit, would be a small cleaning kit ie, washing up liquid, kitchen cloth, extra bin bags, extra tea towel. There was 2x dishwasher tablets and I think 2x washing machine tablets but neither of them were well distinguishable and I was worried I'd use the wrong one in the wrong machine, so these could be better labelled.
I also felt there needs to be a welcome pack (there's a small bit of un-updated info on the TV channel, but not really informative) there were little things I wished we'd known about at the beginning of the holiday, ie, local info, taxi numbers, food places, supermarkets, etc etc .. even to ehat was going on / available at the complex. The dining could have been explained more, you had to goto the restaurant to get that evenings menu. We also didn't know until the last night that you could order takeaway, just these few things might not only increase your restaurant footfall, but also keep guests on the complex.
The room itself was really 5☆ really happy with everything, the housekeeping ladies were really thorough and fast with their turnaround of the room. They delt twice with flying ants near our patio windows.
The restaurant staff were very attentive, food was excellent. Good choice of fine dining foods, perfectly styled and well cooked, check backs on the meals were always done and no issues at all with front of house staff.
We didn't get to use the pools as they always seemed busy (maybe a couple of hours early or later could be dedicated to adults only for a swim or hot tub experience) - and sorry if this is already done and we just didn't know about it. Like I've suggested this could all be explained in a welcome pack.
All in all we had a beautiful time with you, we 100% recommend what you have to offer, 5 ☆ all round (with a tiny tweek)
Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back :)

We were a located a room at the far end of the resort and waited 3.5 hours on arrival to get the room key. The reception staff are truly awful, unhelpful and rude. The exception was the gentleman who drove the buggy who could not have been more helpful. When I complained to the manager (Patricia) i was told that she had neve had a complaint about her staff.
the standard of maintenance was dreadful. There were three wooden bridges, two at the pool and one on the path up thought the resort. The wooden bridges were in a terrible condition with loose boards and some serious trip hazards. The two bridges over the pool had several pieces of the handrails missing, marked helpfully with cones but never repaired. The path through the resort was completely overgrown and only in our last few days were the overhanging bushes cut back. The footpaths and pavements are full of weeds.
We were told that to charge our pool towels it would cost €1.00 or "wash them ourselves" as one of the reception staff helpful added. Hardly the stuff of a 5-star resort.
There was no kids club as "they were short of staff"
We will certainly never the go back this overpriced, underperforming resort again. There are better options in Carvoeiro, particularly if you have children, who might even value yu as a guest.
The villa was spotlessly clean, very well soundproofed, couldn’t hear a thing from other people.
Housekeeping comes in every day, general tidy up and fresh towels when needed and clean linen every few days.
The staff are friendly we had a couple of small things that needed sorted after arrival and within half an hour of calling reception, a member of staff was at our door and the problem was resolved.
Used the pool and facilities multiple times, and enjoyed a massage at the spa.
Would 100% recommend!
I expect plates cleared after a course for the whole table not whisked away as soon as you pause. Also if I ask for water and ask a waiter to leave the bottle pouring to me, then I don’t want them forcefully pouring water for the whole table. Again on one occasion I had to take the bottle from the waiter and stick it under my arm so he didn’t come back again. At this point he had made 3 attempts that I foiled to pour water for people who didn’t want it….fine if it’s free but at 4.50 a bottle I’m not wasting it. Please someone teach the staff to be attentive not invasive, remain out of sight not gurning and staring at the diners.
Otherwise food, pool, and the fabulous 2 storey houses are brilliant. Independent air con throughout and the site was always quiet. Cleaners were superb, amenities fine…..I had seen complaints about WiFi but we had no issues. Perfect for our family myself, wife, 15yr old daughter and her friend. 12 min walk to town, 16 mins back. Town is family friendly but all the beaches are very small.
Another note, they advertise tennis, and you can play, but 2 of the 4 balls were punctured and the racquets were a bit tatty. Surely a resort like this could invest a few Euros in some new racquets and a few tubes of balls.
So I would stay again but I’ll be taking a long pointy stick to keep the waiting vultures at bay.
